Great video. Love the slogan "Embrace the Target".

Bring on the Giants.

Cubs won the season series 4-3 (3-1 home, 1-2 away), 23 runs scored, 17 allowed.

See you Friday!

it is soooo important to win the first two games at home.

of course, I said that back in 1984 too.

But it also wouldn't be like this Cubs team to go 0-2 on the road either. So I'm confident if the series starts 1-1 it will get back to Wrigley for Game 5.

I feel the Giants are making a mistake not starting Matt Moore in Game 2. I just see Samardzija getting manhandled.

So far, so good. Tight zone tonight. Have to get Cueto on a high pitch count and force a bullpen move. Cueto at 18 pitches through 1.

That Ross delayed pickoff is a thing of beauty.

What a freakin' game. I'm finally exhaling. Giants are formidable. Great defense, great pitching.

Tight zone tonight.

I thought exactly the opposite. Cueto was getting three or four inches off the plate on the right hand batter's box versus left handed hitters, especially in the early part of the game. Don't recall if that trend continued throughout the night.

I love a good ol' fashioned pitcher's dual like we saw last night.

When I typed that, it was the 3rd or 4th inning with Lester getting squeezed. Ross had some words for the ump after his first at bat and it seemed to open up after that to become kind of wonky. The check swing call in the 9th was an awful call. I think the zone went from tight early to unpredictable. Like you, I love a good ol' fashioned pitcher's duel.

Really excited to see Hendricks/Samardzija on the bump tonight. I'd love to see Russell take him deep.

bdutts, how goes it back in the states?

Bullpen and their offense are definitely exploitable. Cueto was unreal last night. Posey's baserunning blunder could have cost them.

It's good to be back, no doubt about it. Still feeling my way around my new job and new location but once we buy a house, most likely in Houston, it will feel like home. Not good for my waistline, though. Forgot about those large portions in the US!

Good to hear! American portions take an adjustment period. Haha.

Professor with a scoreless 1st. How about the bats getting to Shark early?

The pitchers who rake game!

Would like nothing more then to end this series on Monday; end the Giants' odd 'even' streak (pun), end the 'Bumgardner is God', get the Cubs into the NLCS 2 straight seasons for the 1st time ever.

They won 2 games with Rizzo and Russell hitless, with Bryant getting just the 1 hit, with some snafus in game 2 (Baez getting thrown out at 2nd after watching his HR not be a home run, the catcher's interference, 2 Bryant errors). We can knock them out in game 3. We can do this.
