I've been trying to figure out the Cubs emergency catcher on their active roster. Any guesses or suggestions?

Probably someone who last played catcher in high school until Willson Contreras is on the next flight to join the team (assuming it's due to injury).
According to Maddon, RHP Jason Motte was the emergency catcher last season.

Stephen A. Smith is making headlines by insinuating that Arrieta is juicing. What a complete tool. :tsk:
I honestly was wondering when people were going to start accusing him of juicing. I knew it was only a matter of time. Not that I personally think he is or anything. But when a player becomes so dominant so fast, speculation arises.
Yeah - but the funny thing is that, since coming to Chicago, he's actually throwing his fastball slower than he was in Baltimore. His dominance has been due to his increased command. I don't think PEDs help with command. Some people will say just about anything to attempt to appear relevant.
Montero on the DL effective Monday.![]()
Well, no no-hitter today.
Any word on Bryant?
