No Kluber tomorrow. And, while Miller may pitch, he sure as Hell won't be allowed to throw 46 pitches again. Look for an inning at most.
I remain optimistic.

Schwarber absolutely spanking the ball in BP.
I just have a really good feeling about him tonight. He is 40/1 odds hitting the first home run of the series, there have definitely been worse looking bets.
The inconsistent strike zone last night (especially early) was a travesty. These umpires are supposed to be the best of the best. :tsk:
It wasn't great but I didn't think it was terrible either. I mean the stuff off the plate were a couple inches, not 6-8.
No - the issue is that the ump was inconsistent. The pitches Kluber was getting were not being called the same for Lester (he and Ross voiced their displeasure). Even the same pitches from Kluber weren't consistently called the same. Batters need to be able to know that, if the ball is thrown in X spot, it will be called Y.

Going way back in the history books for this one, but the last time the Cubs came back from a 1 game deficit to win a playoff series was October 22nd, 2016.
I'm liking tonight's [7:00pm] lineup:
FYI - they are starting the game 1 hour earlier tonight due to the potential for rain. First pitch is 6:08 Central.
Using an app called Audio Hijack to sync the online radio stream with TV. Weirdly, the TV feed is about 7 seconds behind the web radio--I guess they must have a delay on the TV for cutting out vulgar language and such? Anyway, having Pat and Ron call the game in sync with TV is great!
Any questions left about Schwarber?
SchWARber! 3-0 count green light RBI single!
The look on his face at first was priceless.

I told my son no way would the dugout give him the green light.
2 seconds later I was wrong
