That would suck if it happened. Give the Nats a chance to start Strasburg in game 4 on full rest and then Gonzalez in game 5. Also on full rest.

My MLB.tv subscription lets me watch the camera feeds without commentary or a scoreboard. Right now the teams just finished batting practice and the grounds crew is putting the finishing touches on the field.

Game has to be played today, if its pushed tomorrow than Strasburg could pitch tomorrow.
I think this is more of a "would" than a "could."
Game cancelled. Re-scheduled for tomorrow at 3:08pm. Strasburg will almost certainly pitch. Tough break for the Cubs.

Definitely surprised by this, but Dusty said that Strasburg threw a side session today and he usually has a day off after that before pitching (plus he is potentially a little sick) so maybe it makes sense.
Potentially sick I can understand. However, there has been talk of the possibility of not getting this game in,msm why have him throw a side session?
I guess if they did play and Washington won, Dusty would be second guessed by throwing off Strasburg's schedule. Darned if you do, darned if you don't.
No this is pretty much insane. No hindsight being 20/20. This is foresight. It's an elimination game. You're all hands on deck to extend your season here.
The playoffs just make managers go insane with their pitching staffs. Francona pitching Bauer on short rest when he could have gone with any of Tomlin, Salazar or Clevenger was bad. But refusing to go with your #1 guy on full rest just because... That's insane.
I half expect the Nats to announce Strasburg is ready to go at the last possible second.

Is Strasburg a better pitcher than Roark ? Absolutely
But Roark has pitched very well against the Cubs this year, so it’s not like your sending Edwin Jackson out there .
Strasburg may very well be not 100% . If not , sending him out there for the second time in 5 days against our batters might not be the best move .
This is one move I have to believe Dusty . Strasburg must not be ready to pitch tonite , and Roark is not a rag arm .

Can't imagine he's at 100%. Glad Maddon has stuck with Arrieta today. Hendricks pitching in the elimination game or game 1 of the NLCS is a better bet.
