Present date [ W ] #12. Hendricks looked solid tonight. Heard on the broadcast that the Cubs played in three 1-0 games last season and lost all three.

I thought that was really another sloppy loss last night. Poor relief by Uehera and Strop in the eighth and then another throwing error for Russell. It will be interesting to see where the Cubs are at on Memorial Day. If they are still hovering around .500 it will be time to wonder a bit what is going on.

Never really noticed until tonight, but Kris Bryant has a lot of Jeff Bagwell in his batting stance.

That's a great observation! I don't think I caught it because of the five inch height difference. :thumb:

A little note on how early it is in the season and how one game can still completely skew the stats...

Javy Baez's OPS jumped .151 points after last night's explosion. He's now third on the team in OPS behind Bryant and Rizzo. Second in slugging behind Bryant.

Nice comeback for [ W ] #15.

The 1st inning runs seem to be a statistical anomaly, but I'd be lying if I didn't have the thought of starting Wade Davis each game to close out the 1st. :p

Bryant with a souvenir delivery to the right field bleachers and it is 1-0 cubbies. They played Starlin's walkup music for his first at bat. Pretty cool.

Right decision at the time or not, I still loathe that Castro wasn't on last year's team. Adam Warren was a horrendous Cub.

Man, what the heck happened to Arrieta? The Cubs starting pitching has been pretty awful this year, which is weird considering it was one of our biggest strengths last year and it's mostly the same staff.

He had some pretty poor defense in the inning where Colorado scored 6. There was a throwing error early on, and the final hit that cleared the bases should have been caught.
