I think you're right. I believe he just gave up on the 35th Street neighborhood as soon as Illinois legislators gave him the new ball park so the franchise would not now be in Western Florida for the past nearly 40 years. I think he may have actually preferred going to Florida back then but his hand was forced to stay on the South Side. So instead he pouted and made sure that the neighborhood did not become inviting or developed well.

I still don't think that he was ever fully committed to seeing that the White Sox stay in Chicago. Then, or now.

back then i believe you are likely correct

since 2010, I don’t know .
