I see Howard listed as a very hot seat kinda guy, and if my google skills are good, he has a relatively small buyout. Recruiting is also down from his blazing start.
Holtman seems hot too. Gotta believe those ADs are sending out the feelers.

ex NBA players in general do not succeed in college . Woodson is not really setting the world on fire at IU but at least he was an NBA head coach as well as player

I think that hits on part of the reason.

Stackhouse, Howard, Danny Manning, Bryce Drew, Bobby Hurley, Patrick Ewing, these guys are REALLY inexperienced as coaches relative to their peers.

Knowing ball and knowing coaching are two different things, and while Jerry Stackhouse was operating in the game at a much higher level making the NBA All-Star Team in 2000-01 as opposed to Brad Underwood serving as an assistant coach on a 5-23 Western Illinois team, BU did more and learned more in that year that serves his current job than Stackhouse did.

Oregon State going from Tinkle to Sprinkle could make for some great headlines.
Unfortunately, I don’t think they’ll get rid of Tinkle after this year. Would love if they moved on but think he’s owed too much money. As a Beaver fan hopefully I’m wrong, but have a feeling after next year is more likely. 🥲

Does Indiana fire Woodson for Dusty May this year? Buyout is less than what they paid the football coach

it would not surprise me if they fired him, but would not surprise me if they gave him one more year to make changes .

Don't know, hopefully they hire one of their own again. 3rd time is the charm.

I don't know why I feel this way, but Chris Beard feels like a perfect fit in Bloomington. I'd hate to see it as I feel there aren't too many better than he is.

Honestly, I think you’re right. He’s about as good as anybody. Something about that pairing seems like it would work pretty well. Plus, Beard has the 6-degrees of Bob Knight Connection…which might somewhat appeal & appease the aging- Loosiers and their sense of nostalgia.

AND I concur…I do not wanna see that happen!! EVER…

To be honest and fair though, there was a time when Crean looked like a good fit. Lol

I don't know if I could see it happening. May just signed a lengthy contract extension after their Final 4 run that brought him a hefty pay raise and there's quite a bit of money he would owe the university if he leaves before the end of this month.

If May is going to leave FAU now is the time. Once the season is over he will have plenty of options. His buyout will not be an obstacle for any program that wants him. Who knows he may like it at FAU and stay but the time to go may never be here again in the form that is is now.

Does anybody have a link to a list of head coaches’ salaries? I’m looking for one that has the top 100 or 150. I can only seem to find like top 25. Thanks

Fire ? No ...

Do I think Woodson could retire after the season ? Yes ...

I am close with quite a few big IU boosters and a handful of former players and they all think Woodson needs to be done ...

But they don't want Dusty May ... They are shooting bigger ...

IU has old money and old money people don't want a guy with Beard's reputation ...

I keep hearing Beard or Muss for Louisville consistently ...

Isn't their target currently in the NBA in some capacity?
