Well, that adds to the merry-go-round, as that instantly jumps up to one of the most appealing jobs currently available (regardless of what Juwan has done to the job over the past couple of years).

From what I’ve gathered … Michigan has lost some decent NIL money after Harbaugh been gone …

Meaning basketballs total NIL pool … ⬇️

To help offset that loss for football …

If Nate Oats wants to return to Michigan (and Ann Arbor is a half hour from Romulus, where Oats spent over a decade as a high school head coach), I don't see how he isn't the first, second, and third choice for Michigan.

Indy Illini Fan: If Drew gets the $9.5 million per year to take the Louisville job and IF this 2024 ILLINI team makes a deep run in the Big Dance, are we going to be spending all off-season on Loyalty talking about Whitman and Underwood fighting over a pay increase while Brad's name is being shopped around by his agent for one of the new significant Coaching vacancies?

Nah … Brad will get an extension and raise if he earns it … He just got one this year already …

I stand by what I’ve said for a while … I think Brad retires here …

It would have to be like Self retires and Kansas comes after Brad … Which I think they’d go younger but still …

I can promise you I’m not Jeff Goodman … 😂
Good. He blocked me on Twitter for nothing.

I'm wondering how long Iowa sticks with Fran......almost 15 years there and 0 B1G titles, 0 S16s to show for it.

He turns 65 in May. Patrick is done at Iowa, and as said above his youngest wants to play elsewhere. While I'm not hearing a lot in the media around here, I'd say the odds are probably a little less than 50/50 that Fran does retire. If I'm guessing, I say he's back at Iowa for at least one more year. But I do see a scenario where Fran quietly walks away.

Iowa's football, men's basketball, and women's basketball all have head coaches in their 60s or 70s. I would imagine that Iowa's new AD would prefer to have a transition plan in place where she is not having to replace all of them within a very short period of time.

Yesterday’s loss to me was about the perfect encapsulation of Fran’s ceiling. Can always put together a great offense that will put up 80 in a tourney game. But any decent team will put up 90 on them.

I’ve actually grown to respect and appreciate him as a coach the last couple of years. He has an eye for guys that will fit his system and develops them well. Has sort of done good enough to not get fired. The risk in moving on from him is you get stuck with another Lickliter.

Agree …

If I could get Forbes though …

I’m making the move …
