I still laugh that in an offseason where we were all hiring, Indiana and OSU got up and coming mid major coaches, and we nabbed a sitting head coach from a Big XII school with great tradition in their own right … and IU could not FATHOM that we made a more impressive hire, haha.

That's really not much of a step up from the MVC to the A-10. I'd assume there's a sizable raise involved, otherwise I'd be waiting on a P6 job if I were him. He's returning all his key players, unless they get poached. Might not be a bad idea to wait 1 more year.

SLU would be lucky to have him. If he proves his worth, probably move on to a bigger job.

Hard to be a fan
1 . Michigan- Juwon took ncaa finals program to last place in b10. Also verbally assaulted on b10 coach, hit another and got into fight with his own staff member. Michigan man!

2. Indiana- stuck with Woodson 2 more years. Play 1970 style. Just lost top 10 recruit. Too good to play in NIT. I guess they are scared they will lose first round.

3. OSU- unable to get current HC to take the job. Stuck w assistant who has never been s hc. Not even jc or hs.

He can just take his players to SLU. Seems to be the common theme when many coaches move elsewhere

A-10 coaches seem to make about 1M/yr more than MVC coaches. MVC coaches make ~400k - 1M/yr. A-10 coaches make 1 - 2M/yr. This is a far bigger difference than I was expecting.

Deserves better job than SLU. Okie State should have given him a hard look.
