I love Chester as a coach, but he may have been pushed out of the nest as preparation for a head coaching job here down the line. Its great to learn under other coaches and systems, move up the ladder and become a head coach at a mid-major, and return here in 5-8 years as a more seasoned coach to head up the program.

I actually grew up in So IL where we only had 4 stations from 4 different cities (Paducah-NBC, Cape Girardeau-CBS, Harrisburg-ABC and PBS from SIU Carbondale). My neighbor's dad who was a doctor and was always showing off with the latest gadgets put up tallest antenna in town, just so he could get KPLR in St. Louis.

I’m sure it paid a lot less than the Jim McKays and Al Michaels but prob a pretty sweet and low-key gig. Kind of like the recent convos here talking about coaches staying put for less money rather than go to Kentucky.
