Don’t care. Cocktails, morel mushrooms and cattlemen steaks. I have lots of hobbies and the Illini are not even close to the top of my list. Move on!
"Elite 8 to this. We are an utter mess and IU and MI who were both in the dumpster have more momentum than us. WTH. This is on Brad!!! I will hold out hope but you just ran off an Illini favorite and his recruits. I’m sad regardless how this turns out."

If Chester bled orange n blue...he wouldn't left...
I love Chester as a coach, but he may have been pushed out of the nest as preparation for a head coaching job here down the line. Its great to learn under other coaches and systems, move up the ladder and become a head coach at a mid-major, and return here in 5-8 years as a more seasoned coach to head up the program.

Getting experience elsewhere is never a bad thing...

I don't necessarily see "grizzled old sage" as the profile of what we'd be looking for (that's Brad's job), but Tim Jankovich is available, a relatively big name, and he and BU go way, way back.

Who did Chris Schenkel make mad at ABC to have to draw that assignment all those years.
I’m sure it paid a lot less than the Jim McKays and Al Michaels but prob a pretty sweet and low-key gig. Kind of like the recent convos here talking about coaches staying put for less money rather than go to Kentucky.
