He’d win a lot of games there. Just don’t know how long he’d be there. They are going to have to go outside of the family to make a hire this time thoughI’m on a lot of the UNC boards. Brad is nowhere to be found on any of their wish lists which could be way different than the UNC administration. UNC fans wouldn’t accept Underwood. It would be extremely disappointing to them.
Besides 10 million a year at UNC or Miami I can't see why Brad would leave at 61 and with recruiting, support, etc rolling at Illinois...Lost 2 starters last year for the season in July last year … Lost 1 starter this year for the season in July … And his best player was hurt for a month this year right at the start of conference play … The Big East is a bad league ??? Do you watch Basketball ??? Last 2 national championship teams have come from the Big East … 3 teams are in the top 25 right now … UCONN would be a 4th if they were healthy all year …
If you think Sean’s a bad coach … You’re crazy …
Xavier is a good job … Not a great job … He doesn’t have the resources he did at Arizona …
But let’s just be clear … Sean is an ELITE coach …
Career Record (major schools):
480-194, .712 W-L%
Schools: Xavier (178-85) and Arizona (302-109)
Conference Champion: 8 Times (Reg. Seas.), 4 Times (Tourn.)
NCAA Tournament: 12 Years (21-12) including four Elite Eights and eight Sweet 16s

IF he does ever decide to leave...my Option 1A, 1B, and 1C would be Sean Miller.
Really think he could take this program to the second weekend and beyond year after year with donor and AD backing.
I think I'd want Beard before Miller, but that's probably recency bias. Would Illinois look at Brian Hodgson from Arky State? HUGE up-and-comer. I know. Putting the cart WAY before the horse, but it's fun to think about.Same … I also know Sean would take it …
If not Sean … I want Chris Beard …
I always thought it was funny that Indiana keeps thinking they are going to get him. Why would you leave an NBA executive level position to coach college basketball? He’s been out of college coaching for years and now he would have to deal with NIL and the portal. I understand money, but I’m sure he’s being paid nicely with the Celtics.
I think the money is a smaller factor. Brad wants to win a natty and UNC, Duke, Kentucky, and Kansas are the most prestigious jobs for getting there. Unless you're like Drew or Hurley who have already won natties, it's hard to turn those jobs downBesides 10 million a year at UNC or Miami I can't see why Brad would leave at 61 and with recruiting, support, etc rolling at Illinois...

Man… I would find it very hard to root for a coach who, in all likelihood, choked his significant other to the point where she felt the need to call the police for help.Same … I also know Sean would take it …

Agree … If UNC offered Brad the job … I think he’d take it …
I think he’d be pretty crazy not to at this stage of his career …
Whoa....so if Oats says 'no' Brad is likely walking? I REALLY hate UNC even more if that happens.UNC list from what I’ve been told …
Oats … Otz … Brad … Dennis Gates …
Pretty much in that order … Apparently not interested in Wade, Beard, or Golden …
Everyone thinks McCasland stays at Tech unless Texas makes some crazy offer …
And I don’t think Otz leaves Iowa State …
If Kansas opens it’ll be Oats or Beard …
But from talking with agents … There’s some mutual interest between Brad and UNC … He would at least listen …
I think we're a LONG ways off from that happening.Whoa....so if Oats says 'no' Brad is likely walking? I REALLY hate UNC even more if that happens.
100% agree. I want to win as much as the next guy, but this would be a true selling your soul moment for the program. Hard pass from me.Man… I would find it very hard to root for a coach who, in all likelihood, choked his significant other to the point where she felt the need to call the police for help.
And yeah, I know, she dropped the charges but come on… even the stink of a situation like that are reasons one, two and three to stay away.
How many does JoeyBambino still have, though? So…everyone here at Loyalty has a beach house. Some of us have accumulated several more through the years. Some of them are in questionable condition. Some of them have been swept out to sea. Some of them are located in South Dakota.
Please see the admin if you have not received your introductory beach house yet.

Indy might know, does he have young children? That’s another reason to pass!
Is Alan Huss a candidate to move up to a higher level?
Boston is in another league, pun intended, wrt Bloomington. Boston is elite. Bloomington is what, where? Boston is way high on my list of favorite places I've lived.Brad Stevens … His wife told me they’re not even remotely interested …
