at this point it would be hard not to make a move. I still think BB keeps Henry and brings in someone with a lot of experience calling a defense.
Unfortunately, I just don't think you can demote Henry and have him be happy reporting to a new DC. It stinks, because I do think he's a really good guy and has been a loyal servant to the program. But if you're going to make a move like this, I think it just has to be a clean break.

Might be hard to pull him away from Denver, while he isn't the DC he is AHC and Def Pass Game coordinator
yea . agree it’s hard getting a guy to move back down to college from the NFL

but what do those titles really mean anyway ?

isn’t it kinda like working at a large downtown bank in the 1990’s and being made a Vice President ?

Which job is worse: ucLa or Cal-Berkeley? Cal is dependent on their Caliamony.
I will also add that Cal's administration might be even more apathetic to football than UCLA. You could add that the Wilcox firing is delusional to boot.

I think the poster meant more Henry would be the Dc but Bret will find a position coach that has called plays before.

Not true anymore. Cal's new admins are more invested in football and let their megadonors put Ron Rivera in charge of ops

I’m not saying it will happen but before they wanted to bring in a position coach with experience calling a defense to help Henry. In that scenario he’s not demoted

if they can bring in Leonhard , they would be fools not to

in that scenario , I can’t see a soft landing for AHen on the staff , unless you make him AHC/recruiter in chief and hope he’s cool with it

Yes, the 'if' at this point in time is necessary to finish the season on a positive, cohesive note.

My TCU wouldn't recommended getting getting coaches from rivals especially those involved in scandals.
Fitz can flat out coach Defense. Knows a thing or two about OL as well (not that he'd be doing much in that regard if he's DC).

He'd be in a "prove it" spot too. Couple/3 years and launch pad into another HC gig.

There's a stain because of the hazing and I get it...even with him being 'vindicated' by the investigation.

Before the scandal... you'd have been hard pressed to find a coach more revered for what he was doing with less than Fitz.
