KSU message boards say BU going back there to coach next year & announcement coming soon. Anybody hearing anything?
Have not heard anything remotely close to this, and there is no way BU would consider this move with what they have been building here - and with the upgrades to the facilities on the way.

seems like it , doesn’t it ?
he wanted out & they wanted someone else - win win
Can't say I blame him. New Mexico is capable of being a power in that league. I think I would rather be at the top of a strong mid-major league instead of lower end of a power league.

I don't really believe this for 1 second ... but ....

It does have this eerily similar feeling to when Bill Self left. Illinois came into the tourney red hot. We beat none other than Ohio State in the BTT Final for the tourney win. We entered the tournament as a "dangerous" 4 seed, that everyone thought had upset potential of then #1 Arizona. My memory of that ND game was we got out coached and the players looked out of sync (multiple missed layups by Dee and Deron if memory serves).

All that being said, I really doubt Brad is leaving for KSU, but if he does I'll feel pretty devastated (far worse than yesterday's loss).

Huge difference in jobs.

Illinois > Kansas State
Kansas > Illinois

Self jumping to Kansas, made sense. It's a better job than Illinois.
Underwood going to K State, makes very little sense. It's a worse job than Illinois. K State would have to pay him a ton of $$$$ even to consider it, and I really doubt Whitman would ever let himself get outbid. At least not by a school the caliber of K State.

Other than huge money, there is no credible reason for BU to go to KSU. Especially now that he has unfinished business here.

Rumor has it that IU had reached an agreement with Matta but were forced to withdraw it due to medical concerns.
Wouldn't surprise me. Matta was in a very bad way (with his back), when he stepped down from OSU.

Now the beat writer for IU, Zach Osterman, tweeted that his original tweet was "false" and that no agreement with Matta had been reached. New names that have popped up are Mike Woodson and Eric Musselman. Stay tuned

I definitely don't buy it. Agree that there is a huge difference in jobs. The only caveat here is the KSU draw for Brad. Maybe KSU is his dream job?
