I remember a report years ago that noted some players who attended top basketball schools had difficulty with basic educational skills such as reading. I’m not here to argue that though. Looking forward to how this plays out and watching some ball in a stadium with all the damn seats filled!
I am not sure Antigua is a done deal either. Could be pretty close, but not done yet.
Don’t think the other one is quite a “done deal” yet either...

I only hear about boosters coming up with money for recruits and buyouts. Do boosters ever show up to help retain coaches? Because even if the Board of Trustees would never back up the truck, surely there are boosters who would be more than happy to help keep a good thing going. Is that even allowed?

Chin and OA are old school playboys in every sense. I don't want to share too many details but I have a female friend who had several interactions with Chin. Nothing inappropriate happened or was suggested but that seemed mostly because she wasn't interested and made it clear on several occasions. Pre Covid those two were always seen around the CU area together, thick as thieves. OA dresses better.
If the salary is equal would OA still leave is the question..
Lets be creative.... we might be able to keep him if we bought his wife a luxury apartment in the Caymans...
For me, if OA wanted to stay with a raise, wouldn’t you at least go back to BU with the offer you’ve been given to see if we could work out a way to match it? If they couldn’t, then you at least know and possibly you move on. It’s possible he was down there interviewing yesterday or today and did actually let BU know what the offer was and to see what JW could do about it.

Seems to me the schools won't actually be paying the kids. It will be outside opportunities through NIL... Like being on billboards, appearing in malls to sign autographs, things like that to get paid.
