Did I just imagine it, but did OA's Twitter header turn from an orange-tinted Assembly Hall photo to plain blue last night, and is now back to the original?
If I were OA, I would continue swapping the header back and forth all day today. And for just five minutes, change it to a Jayhawk. Then sit back and laugh while the money prints in front of me.

From the Kentucky standpoint, I understand wanting OA back, and think that's going to happen. I don't get the Chin stuff? Is he a way better coach than we realize? Obviously I think he's a good coach and recruiter, but is he so good that Kentucky needs to pull him away?
With all of the current talent at the MIF, would seem prudent to try and build those relationships sooner than later.

Is this like wearing a Brian Cook jersey to school the day before committing elsewhere?

When's the last time Illinois beat out Kentucky for a legit star recruit? I know the late bloomers like Podz and Mark Smith claimed to have Kentucky offers, I'm thinking more along the lines of the Khalil Whitney type recruits. If Adam Miller had a Kentucky offer, 0 chance he would've ended up here, even with Chin; same is probably true with Ayo.

Chin is a HELL of a coach man. People who pay attention realize it. I think a lot of our guards development can be attributed to him

I believe it. I just find it a little weird that Kentucky wants him. I'm guessing OA put in a very good word to Cal. OA has a very well-established history as a coach and recruiter. Chin was relatively obscure, in terms of high-major coaching experience before Illinois.

The question is more of "when has Kansas, Duke, Michigan State, etc beaten out Kentucky for a star recruit?"

I guess I understand OA leaving for more money, but how often does it work out when you take a job again that you've already left once? I'd have to have more than just my old job back for this to be anything but a backward step. But maybe that's because I'm old and I've tried to go back in time too many times myself (and I've never been offered a boatload of money).
Why did he leave the first time, for more money elsewhere?

In Underwood I trust! Underwood has elevated the program to a national power. The giggest concern I have currently is that we may see a couple of our key players poached from the program. The obvious one's are Curbello, Plummer, and Kofi. It also could effect Miller's decision since I believew the Illini have moved on from him.

Really tough for Brad. I'm sure he wanted to retain the staff based on his comments from the other day. This reflects more on the administration than it does Brad and it's clear they're not ready for big time. I guess the Weber and Groce eras didn't send a sad enough message.

I just read it on this site too!* I also heard that Bret Bielema and the entire Mechanical Engineering department are going too.

* It was actually in a post from louisvilleillini, who I'm assuming is close to the discussions, so I believe it.
The Mens Kayak team is debating whether to leave as well....

I was told Curbelo and Plummer are staying along with the rest of our Puerto Rican's. Only one that is up in the air is Podz, who's lead recruiter was Chin. Was told everyone else is good to stay to put that speculation to rest. Still expect Podz to stay. Good news on the players front though.

That’s huge if true, now go make two great hires. Any chance Irvin is one of them?
