But isn't it true (to some lesser extent) that anticipated roster and recruiting momentum could also impact coaching staff retention? If I were OA and Chin, and I had any insider knowledge that Kofi is likely to return and there are multiple talented 4s who are ready to pull the trigger as soon as he does, I would need to at least consider the opportunity cost of walking away from a monster roster that I helped build. Last year did not end the way any of us wanted. If there is a chance to coach a roster that could be even stronger than that one, it should be a little easier to convince me to stay to reap the full fruits of my labor.

Yes plus a 4 year contract without the unreal pressure that you get at KY to win right away,
assuming the reports of Illinois offering $1M+ per year for 4 years.
But who knows maybe they like that kind of pressure.

Actually, Jai Lucas is currently their top recruiter. If UK adds 2; Flint would likely be pushed into the support that Barbee held.

I'm guessing they don't don't come back, just waiting for the equal opportunity period to end and then they will announce. If they are decent, they will be using this time to help BU hang on to the kids that are coming here.
