Man, take take take. No, one ever asks our insiders how they are or how their day was.

Good points here. The last sentence is big. What if KU has a mediocre 21/22? I believe Coach Cal is paid huge $$$$$ to get blue chip players and be a Final 4 Big Dance team... every year. I also. believe Coach Cal is contracted thru 2023? If 21/22 is so so, Coach Cal gets dumped... where is Coach OA? Coach is RC?
Pretty sure there is only one 5-star talent in the MIF pipeline (JJ Taylor), and that 5-star may never see a college campus. Many are greatly overestimating the MIF pipeline. It could be Chin Coleman's ability to develop players that caught Calipari's eye. Because frankly Calipari needs help with both player development and recruitment.

Used to be. I am not so sure the Big East really qualifies for that status anymore after all the realignment.
Really? Villanova and UConn are still powers and as a conference they are ahead of multiple "Power 5" leagues in the metrics.

Kimani Young. Nice.
Interesting article about him- had no idea bout prior arrests. Seems like a great hire on the surface, ties to NY. As many have said, we need to keep recruiting nationally.

A couple good articles about Kimani the coach and Kimani the man.

So who coaches the big men?

Edit: Wow, three of us on the same page! 👨‍💻

His recruiting seems good too. This 247 site is pretty stale at this point but this was his record at least at MN.

Yeah looks like as good a candidate as any I've seen to fill the OA role with respect to recruiting.

Edit: that does include prospects he's recruited to UConn. Samson Johnson is in the class of 2021, and if he came along with Young, I wouldn't be mad at it.

Calipari has a lifetime contract: https://www.forbes.com/sites/adamza...at-kentucky-worth-86-million/?sh=4136bcc8e384

Whether or not he has another down year, you're not going to find too many other college situations with more stability at the top. This is a great move for Chin no matter how you slice it. I don't like it, but it is what it is.

Is it? Cal tried to get out of Kentucky after this season he just couldn’t quite figure out an escape route.

Any other alums on the list besides Frazier and Powell, i.e., Brian Randle. Also, Augustine stated he wants to start coaching. If Geoff Alexander is promoted, any discussions about who would replace him? Would Augustine be a possibility for that role? Is Augustine on Underwood's radar for a non-coaching position? This of course presupposes that Augustine could fill the role as teaching bigs.
Augustine needs to get his feet wet a little before he coaches at a P5 conference.
