I assumed all the coaches always live in the Trails at Brittany, which really does have astronomical housing costs
I guess astronomical is a relative term.

In fairness, I am a little surprised there is a neighborhood at that price point (per square foot) in the Champaign area. But you're right; it's relative.

At Kentucky, all Chin has to do is sit by the phone and recruits call him.
Then why hire an assistant coach? Let the secretary for the head coach take those calls. I still think people are over hyping Coleman's expertise. He sure didn't lock down Chicago for the Illini. We will see what the next 4 years bring, but I don't think Coleman will get much recognition as a stud recruiter for Kentucky.

So do we know who our first choice was after Chet? Is it safe to say Kimari was our first choice, followed by Huss and the Moderate Combo, followed by CY?
If on a par 5, you hit the first shot into the rough, lay up the second safely down the middle, and hole out for an eagle, are you worried about the drive in the rough? It is all about results.

I think we have an obsession with "who was a priority". I'd imagine we had a #1, but after that, I'd bet a lot of these candidates were seen by Underwood and Whitman as pretty equal.

If Chester is being paid $550K, I would have to think that they would offer Young at least that much. If what I've read is accurate, he is getting $256,000. I would think that doubling his salary makes his decision a no brainer.

Like the idea that both would be making the same, less chance for a perceived slight.

It will be interesting to see what happen with UK in the next few years if the one and done model collapses with the G League. The UK fans have so brutal expectations.
I don't follow pro BB at all, can someone please explain this "G league" to me?

OK thanks, and it's better than playing overseas? better chance to get in the NBA maybe?
Most G-League teams function as more of a minor league for the NBA. They can dip into that pool of players if there is an injury. The vast majority of players are guys who are trying to get back to the NBA or guys who never quite made it. Most people you see in the NBA who get a “10 day” contract are G-League players. There is at least one team, “Ignite”…possibly a second that is allowed to sign high school prospects. Those players are not, however, allowed to be added to a NBA roster. The advantages are, top notch competition against seasoned players, a six figure salary, no class, & lots of visibility for NBA scouts.

Absolutely, right to the highest jumping point to the NBA, no double A or single A. But looks like they all sign with Ignite, so same team - working on development, crafting game for NBA style of play - Euro leagues will have different style and not as much access to scouts. They may not make a lot in G league compared to NCAA (likely, depends on if you go to LSU or not) but it is at least 6 figures. Attractive to a 17/18 year old and their family. And selection is important - those that are offered are typically top 10 in the class, so good chance of going to NBA at some point. To be frank, I'm not opposed to this option at all.
