I have no knowledge at all regarding that. I do know that there have been a number of situations in the past where an individual has agreed to take a position with a school and recruited before signing a contract.

Um, yeah, he just hired an inexperienced coach to lead his golden cow, Blue Blood, basketball program next year. In 2-3 years, he may be fired!

The guy that BU has at the top of his list is still under contract. He coaches the 7-12 year old kids at the Joliet YMCA until his contract expires June 22. This guy DOES have Florida "ties." (he lived there till he was 9.)

I'd insert the obligatory Ron-Swanson-youth-coach GIF here but (1) I've seen that one pop up at least twice during the past week or two; (2) am wary of antagonizing the League of On-topic Loyalty (LOL) posters further. The palpable tension in the community threatens to turn our next bake sale (raising funds for the third AC's bonus pool, natch) into a Jets v. Sharks re-enactment.

Scott Beatty reported UI just officially (in the last day) posted the AC position which is odd. Mostly because they never posted the first 2 that I’m aware of.

Do I understand correctly that one of his 11 year olds is 6’8”, touches the rim with both of his elbows, is an elite athlete and has promised to follow his coach to college?
