Thanks for the link! Will watch later. I've been a fan of Deion Sanders since I was a kid. For someone to simply write him off as one of those "cocky/arrogant" pro athletes is pretty disrespectful. I can see how he can rub some folks the wrong way with his alpha bold style of confidence but the man backs it up and has been doing so ever since he was a young man. There's a reason why he's nicknamed "Primetime" after all.
As the immortal Dizzy Dean said " It ain't bragging if you can do it"

Happens all the time when a coaching change happens. You guys just got a first hand look at it. And he’s not exactly wrong, they went 1-11
True, but lets also remember BB getting crucified in the media for his "We haven't had a lineman do much for us" comment (that was taken wildly out of context) while Coach Prime seems to be getting heaps of praise for publicly telling his entire team that they are trash, he is replacing them, and that they should hit the portal.

There is a ton of praise and criticism of the way Sanders conducts himself especially with the clip that was shown.

JMO but I don't want to hear him "preaching."

If he wants to go on a rant about football I will listen. Hmm...somehow that clip made it to the public. All publicity is good publicity with Sanders. He thrives on junk like this.

Somehow, this is just going to grow......and then the "incident"

Satterfield to Cin. They are playing against each other in a bowl game. The AD wouldn’t extend his contract. It came as a surprise. They have a good recruiting class. Now the talk is Brohm. Alumni high school great qb at Trinity HS.

I agree leaving the B1G for Louisville doesn’t make a lot of sense but it could depend on the size of your ego

In other words does Brohm feel he can make Louisville good enough to eventually join the SEC?

why would Kentucky or the SEC or ESPN ever want that ?

the pie stays the same size and everyone’s slice is 7% smaller

Actually, if Rhule, Fickell and BB are all successful and Fleck continues to be better than average - I can see Purdue and Northwestern failing to keep up. Maybe blasting to Louisville wouldn't be such a bad move.

I think the one thing other than it being his alma mater that could sway Brohm to Louisville is that the path to the playoff is much easier. It is definitely possible for Louisville to win the ACC or make it in the top two to qualify for a 12 team playoff. Sure there are a number of teams that have a better foundation to run the ACC. But I'd put Louisville just in the top half of the league.

At Purdue, will they ever make the playoff? I do not think they are capable of getting there in a divisionless B1G with Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, USC, Wisconsin, and Michigan State ahead of them.

So if his priorities include having a nationally relevant program, with the upside of it being your alma mater, I think he could make the move. If he is asking what job will I be most comfortable at for the long run, then he probably stays.

Prime makes self promoting PJ Fleck look like a beginner

Brohm leaving would certainly be ideal for weakening the division. I think he'd be making a big mistake walking into a rebuild, even with his extensive ties, since he is likely very comfortable in his seat at Purdue and can work them for raises as necessary. But we'll see. He turned them down to stay at Purdue last time they needed a Coach, we'll see what he does this time. I don't really see a reason Purdue couldn't match any salary offer since the Big Ten is going to be making a lot more money in the ACC with re-alignment.

Who does Louisville look at? Brian Brohm?
Brohm is a Louisville guy big time. I lived there for a few years and ran into him a couple times while he was a coach at Louisville. By all accounts the town really loved him. Really nice guy when I talked with him.

If I'm Brohm I'm taking Louisville over West Lafayette all day. (Based on short amount of time I've spent in each city)

Brohm borned and raised in Louisville. I have lived here for close to 35 years. He was a HS hero. His brothers, his father were all UofL big time. They will roll out the red carpet for him if he wants to leave PU. He probably could name his own salary. Satterfield has a good class coming in for 23. I hope he comes to Louisville. I thought he should have been considered for the Illini job at one time. He lived in Champaign and coached the beloved. Go ILLINI!

That’s interesting. I believe they have money issues. Came across some tweets/ scuttle but about them hiring Payne as cheaper option, but was also a fit. Also reason they didn’t have enough ammunition to lure Tim Anderson. Wonder if that played into extension talk…couldn’t commit to a number, maybe were hoping kick it to next offseason? If the case, may not have the $$ for Brohm. But what do I know.
