The new Coach in Champaign? That's easy. Jake from State Farm.

That’s two posts in a row with a State Farm reference. Are you employed by them? LolThe new Coach in Champaign? That's easy. Jake from State Farm.
Illinois worst nightmare.Brad goes to Texas/Arkansas/Kansas State Miller turns us down and Josh becomes Big 10 commissioner. Who is the coach in Carbondale? /s
Gosh I feel famous, uofi7477. Thank you.I wouldn't worry too much about this scenario - I'm pretty sure that Josh and others have a better understanding of the ins and outs and whathaveyous of employment law than uofi7477.
I'll address each seperately:Idk how you can not put MSU with multiple national championships in different eras, a zillion final 4s and S16s and a constant national brand with a sold out arena in tier 2.
Purdue has had multiple very good coaches and eras and similar to MsU, has a great and constant sold out arena and brand.
I love Illinois but to an outsider, I don’t see our job/place as better than those 2.
The thread?well this has gone off the rails
yes the thread. not the program or team lolThe thread?

Good observations. Good points.I'm late to the party on this....the whole work thing got in the way. Let's just assume that BU is on a bit of a fishing expedition. We're talking about the same Sean Miller that got bounced out of AZ for some unsavory recruiting practices? He's been at Xavier for one year and he's already open to bailing after they gave him his career back? I'm sure he's a nice guy, but his resume would have a few red flags on it. Fired + short stay at his next job.....not exactly a hiring manager's dream.
Why would Miller "hold out" for something bigger? Couldn't he move then move again? It worked for Self.I think Miller probably holds out for something bigger. Decent chance Kentucky, Michigan, and Michigan State all open in the next few years. Self won't coach forever either. No inside info, just my hunch that he would hold out for something bigger.
well this has gone off the rails
This song really defines not just today but the whole season................It really really does......well this has gone off the rails
not really. let's not pretend that a power 5 head basketball coach is anything like a normal job that most of us do. most hiring managers have only the resume in front of them and it that case it would look bad because they don't know this candidate at all. but these coaches lives are so well publicized that we know everything about them. so in this case we know that his case for firing was likely due to something that is still not legal but with the advent of NIL, it's something much less practical so not likely to happen again. as for the short stay, sounds like our hiring manager is reaching out to him so seems like a moot point.Good observations. Good points.
I don't think BU is going anywhere.... But if he does I'm all for giving Shauna Green a shot at the Men's BB job.
It depends on the size of the buyout clauses. Why would Miller "hold out" for something bigger? Couldn't he move then move again? It worked for Self.
