Michigan paying out the money to buy his silence . He was a terrible AD & everyone with a brain there knows it . Dusty May got out of town as soon as he realized it . lots of secrets up there

We found damning issues in our report, so as punishment, please stay on to the end of the year, accept this huge payout, here's your retirement, and we'll pay your legal fees.

So take that Mr. Manuel!! And sorry about the accountability --we have no choice.

Things are reaching a Beckman-esque level of incompetent in Chapel Hill.

Wasn’t sure where to put this but the Athletic/ NYT put an update to their P4 football program valuations if they ever went private. Also not sure if there is a paywall (I subscribe to the NYT) but long story short we are ranked 30th out of 68 P4 programs at $568m (vs $405m last year). IU got a big bump (like double) due to their “emergence” partially tempered by uncertainty as to whether it sticks.

Potentially a huge week. If I understand it, the BIG and SEC are supposed to decide whether to support it by tomorrow. Lot of major changes if they do and it passes. Not sure how I feel about a one time transfer rule or the anti-trust exemption being entrusted to the NCAA. From what I've read the major challenges are 1) because the BIG and SEC are in the drivers seat, they do not want to shift power away from themselves and 2) the leagues desire to limit athlete movement (and pay) means it's trickier to get enough support from congress given the politics of it.

Feels like an all-out feeding frenzy with so much money at stake.
