SC is like our Norte dame and Michigan combined. Lots of license plate frames with people who never went there, and the ones that did, have persistent smugness about it. Even my mom back in the day with Jeff George v USC got into it with the sc fans. And she’s just a kind old lady.
Ucla people are far more tolerable, except in basketball, but they are a part of the public UC system, which….
Just to add, most people on this board dislike Michigan, Iowa, and others. I can’t wait for all of you to see the California schools. Likely your dislike will run pretty deep. Just a heads up

That game makes the 2022 Iowa game look like an offensive masterpiece.
One of the worst football games I ever watched in person. For those who don’t recall, there were Something like 20 punts between the two teams, the Illini turned it over 4 or 5 times (the drives where they didn’t punt) and in the last few seconds the Illini missed a 40 yard field goal to tie. They lost 6-3. You read that right. Just awful.

And Ade Adeyemo shattered his ribs on the inexplicably unpadded cement barrier like 5 yards past the endzone. Still mad about that.

Big 12 partisan a little sensitive, but does he have a point?

For a Big 12 fan, he must not watch a lot of the conference's games. This has been happening since 2019. It's not a conspiracy. Blame the conference, they signed the deal to put their games behind a paywall.

I'm sorry, but I need to keep going. This is why posting random tweets from unknown sources is fundamentally bad. This isn't a reporter or someone within the conference. This guy is a plumber (read his bio). Despite the name, they clearly don't know anything about the Big 12 if they haven't even figured out how to access their favorite conference's games over the last 4 years. Then, instead of thinking there might be a logical explanation, they immediately jump to the conclusion that it's a conspiracy. Now, for some reason, we have this conspiracy existing on this messageboard. We don't have to live like this. We can and should choose to be better. Check your sources. Don't post conspiracies from randos.

Persistent inferiority complex and victimhood (at the hands of Texas, or ESPN, or the other conferences, or the NCAA)? I dunno man, I think he's got the Big 12 down stone cold.

I don’t interpret this as Spotter necessarily saying there’s some huge conspiracy/endorsing one, or selling the source of this tweet as anyone other than having a “partisan” interest in the Big12 - more acknowledging on its face the stupidity of putting a top 10 game exclusively on ESPN+. (Although I don’t speak for them)

I agree with you though, shame on the conference bc the losers are the fans in this scenario. Still shocking a game like that wouldn’t be moved to one of their networks.

Felt more like looking into Big Ten's / Illini's future, when the game we want to watch is on some Peacock++ streaming channel. No more ESPN for us soon.

The Big 12 signed a deal specifically to have games on ESPN+. The SEC and B1G didn't. I don't even think ESPN has the ability to flex in Big 12 games over other conferences. The Big 12 deal was shockingly bad. It's why I remembered it and could post it.
I would be interested to see the full details of that contract, especially whether either side would have the ability to flex games. There’s probably some at ESPN who think this is a dream scenario and will spur new subscribers to their service.

The full deal is in the link I posted, but I'll post it below. The games are exclusive to ESPN+. I'm pretty positive they can't be flexed. All teams have an obligation to ESPN+ to provide a certain number of games to the streaming service. Yeah, it was a major coup for ESPN. ESPN3 changed over to ESPN+ in April of 2018. This deal happened a year later, in April 2019. It was the first major conference to provide ESPN+ with regular content. Before, it was all lower conference games.
