well if gary says so it must be true
If B1G adds more southern teams, they should be warned that winter is coming! What is dead may never die!
Let's kill only one conference per week, m'kay?
No. The combined cream of the crop of the B12/P12/ACC wouldn't make anything close to a competitor to the B1G/SEC in media rights terms. It'll just turn into 3 super conferences

Though if this poster is like Indy, 0440, or Louisville, we all going to look dumb.
Remember the Big Ten, Pac 12, ACC alliance? I 'member.FWIW I think it continues to be true that the ACC/B12/P12 would operate from a stronger position across a number of fronts if they joined forces.
the B1G, Pac & ACC had 2+ years to come to an agreement on scheduling a football game between its members & came up empty .FWIW I think it continues to be true that the ACC/B12/P12 would operate from a stronger position across a number of fronts if they joined forces.
Those three conferences should really become two. Oregon, Washington, Stanford and Cal fit culturally with the ACC, and Oregon State, Washington State the Arizonas and Utah fit the Big 12.FWIW I think it continues to be true that the ACC/B12/P12 would operate from a stronger position across a number of fronts if they joined forces.
If you could operate truly collectively on a national scale like that, why be beholden to traditional notions of a conference at all? Those three conferences should really become two. Oregon, Washington, Stanford and Cal fit culturally with the ACC, and Oregon State, Washington State the Arizonas and Utah fit the Big 12.
This.it’s every conference for itself & with the ACC & Pac , it’s every school for itself
These guys are very stupid and shortsighted, I'm not going to hold my breath.why would you think they could agree on something really important ?
… except Ned Stark was the first real victim in the series and began the complete unwinding of any sense of decency and order…If B1G adds more southern teams, they should be warned that winter is coming!
It's far from the only factor (again, anything that makes any Big Ten member sub-equal will eventually turn against Illinois and all the other non-powerhouses and they know it and will vote like it), but it's worth noting that the whole grant of rights thing works both ways.IF the B1G really wanted a sizeable group, lets say CLEM, FSU, UNC, WA, OR, is there any chance of changes to existing membership? TV markets aside, is there any chance of a Rutgers being kindly shown the door to make room for a brand that is 10x theirs?
Thinking forward about what your real interests are, rather than just desperately fleeing disaster as the marketplace collapses around you. That's leadership.
How many people in this gym have ever felt personally victimized by Larry Scott? That sounds more like George Kliavkoff to me.
