The funny thing is that the Cubs were winning 7-0 in that game in 1998.Brant Brown memories
According to Ross, yes.Was Assad moved out of the rotation when Stroman came back? Was wondering why Assad would be pitching in relief when he's a starting pitcher.
Last time through Stroman opened & Assad took over. The bullpen has just been decimated the last couple weeks. No Alzolay, Fullmer, Leiter, or Boxberger. (though no great loss)Was Assad moved out of the rotation when Stroman came back? Was wondering why Assad would be pitching in relief when he's a starting pitcher.
I have been a die hard Cubs fan forever. 2016 was awesome and I probably watched 90% of the games. I no longer get the Cubs games because of our TV provider and they are off my radar. I’ll check the scores and will watch if it’s a national game but my attention is elsewhere. I can relate to those feelings with college football though. Can ruin your weekend!Does anyone besides me feel this kind of loss beyond what a normal person would. Last night i got up a few times to use the bathroom and then it would hit me and i would get this profound feeling of loss and regret. I take this stuff much too seriously.
I'm right there with you. When you watch a team every day for 6 months you get emotionally invested. It made me mad that I allowed myself to toss and turn all of last night but I just couldn't help it.Does anyone besides me feel this kind of loss beyond what a normal person would. pretty much agree these are dark times in all pro sports in townIf you are a fan of Chicago professional sports, these are the darkest times that I can remember.
yup.Thank God we had our moment in the sun in 2016. Just think if that never happened.
Looks like Miami wins game two…Cubs doing their best to give the spot to Miami. Looks like Miami is handing it back.
Exhausted, hurt or just plain bad…The pen is completely toast. They’re all either exhausted or hurt.
Yep, a good year overall. Feels like we’ve identified some possible starting pitching for next year. We need to add some bullpen arms. And maybe this late season experience for PCA has been beneficial. On to next year. The Cubs could be eliminated tonight if they lose and the Marlins win.
As awful as this last month has been, I’m still happy that they’re still alive going into the last series of the season even if their chances are between slim and none.
there is pretty much likely more to that storyNot Cubs related, but what did Gabe Kepler do to get fired by SF with 3 games left in season? They couldn’t wait until end of season?
I hate that i always feel this way about my favorite baseball club. I hate even more that they (almost) always meet my expectation. The last couple days have been way too on brand.
