Premier League matches postponed through Monday following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Three Premier League matches postponed for this weekend: Man U-Leeds, Chelsea-Liverpool, and Brighton-Palace. The first two matches are being postponed due to the increased police presence that would be needed at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge. Members of Manchester's police force is being used as security for the queen's procession in Scotland and more will need to be sent to provide security for the Queen's funeral next Monday. Brighton-Palace will still not be played even though the rail strike that had caused the postponement will no longer happen.

Are you indicating that you think it was a proper red? Both of the announcers and the in-studio hosts all said that it should have been yellow. The fact that VAR didn't even review it is insane. That is expressly what VAR should be used for. But, instead, the VAR officials are more concerned with not hurting the feelings of their counterparts by pointing out their errors than they are about actually getting the calls correct.

i think it was borderline and probably should have been a yellow. it did kill any spurs chance at a comeback but even before the incident, it was pretty clear who the better team on the field was that day.

I disagree. They play 2 completely different styles. Partey made a 1 in 100 shot from outside the box and Jesus' goal was an lucky (unlucky) spill from the keeper. Outside of that, Spurs actually had the better chances. Possession % doesn't mean anything. Spurs concede possession to play the counter attack.
3rd sacking of the season occurred yesterday with Wolves letting go of manager Bruno Lage following their 2:0 defeat to West Ham. He was in only his second season leading the squad.

Everton hosts Manchester United tomorrow afternoon in a game that will start at 1:00 PM CT. The Premier League does not typically have games played on Sunday evenings in the U.K. However scheduling circumstances led to game being played this late. The game was originally picked for the Saturday lunchtime spot but had to be moved due to Manchester United playing in a Europa League match in Cyprus on Thursday. Premier League rules prevent a team playing in Europe on Wednesday or Thursday from playing in the early Saturday kickoff. That means that Europa League teams can't play Premier League matches until Sunday at the earliest. And since the two main broadcasters, BT Sport and Sky Sports, don't allow overlapping matches to be played at the same time, there was no choice but to push it back to the later kickoff on Sunday.

Emery had been at Villareal since July 2020.
Wolves have hired former Real Madrid and Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui as their new manager. Lopetegui will officially take over once the World Cup break begins after next weekend's matches.
Based on their performances against Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup earlier this week and then again against the Cherries today, it appeared Everton wanted to start their World Cup break early.
