not looking good for Everton this season

Yeah pretty much. I already have ESPN+ for other stuff so if they get relegated to the Championship, I can watch them on there (though I may have to switch my allegiance to Leeds United with McKennie now heading to Elland Road to join Aaronson and Tyler Adams). Otherwise, I know some of the other USMNT players are playing in other leagues in Europe so I may decide to start watching Bundesliga or La Liga (which I can through ESPN+) or Serie A (through Paramount+, which I already have a subscription to).

Possible punishments include docking of points to potential expulsion from the league.
no way they get expelled. most likely fine and probably points deduction just to ensure they don't win the league right after getting punished. we've already seen Juventus get a points deduction this season which hurts them even more due to their poor form.

if this was the NCAA, we'd see Wigan getting the brunt of the punishment.

STX Owner Jahm Najafi Reportedly Prepping $3.75B Bid For Premier League Club Tottenham Hotspur

Jahm Najafi, the Iranian-American billionaire who owns STX Entertainment, is reportedly preparing a $3.75B bid to acquire Premiere League club Tottenham Hotspur.

The Financial Times reported on Wednesday that Najafi, chair MSP Sports Capital, is working with a consortium of investors with a view to approaching Spurs with a formal bid in the coming weeks.

Najafi took control of Hustlers studio STX for $173M last April. The Iranian-American businessman also has stakes in McLaren Racing, StubHub, the Mission Advancement SPAC with Colin Kaepernick, Tracee Ellis Ross’ Patten Beauty, and Scarlett Johansson’s skincare line.

Very much so - if anyone gets close to their valuation. Looks like this one may be close enough.
guessing that means Levy is also gone (as a part-owner of ENIC). hopefully they won't go all Boehly and buy everyone targeted by another club.

Arteta should have received a yellow for kicking the ball away. Glad De Bruyne gave him a shove.

Crystal Palace sacked Patrick Vieira today.

Vieria took the job prior to last season and led Palace to a 12th position finish. While they currently sit 12th in the table heading into this weekend, they are only 3 points outside of the relegation zone and have not won their last 12 matches (11 Premier League and 1 FA Cup match) with their last win coming on New Year's Eve at Bournemouth. They also had a recent 3 match stretch during the winless streak where they failed to muster a single shot on target.

So he has unretired for the 2nd time now, right?

"Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it." we'll see if ol' Roy has learned.

Hodgson came out of retirement in the 2021-22 season to take charge of relegation-threatened Watford on a short-term deal but failed to lead them to safety.

Antonio Conte has left Spurs by mutual consent. Assistant coach Cristian Stellini will be in charge for the remainder of the season.
well no surprise there after his post-match rant. wonder if he would have said those things if the club was really in process of a sale.
