it was arguably a down year for the premier league for a team to clinch with the lowest point total since the 90s. but well done to leicester for accomplishing this season what so many other "big clubs" could not.

last season leicester spent 140 days in last place, the most of any team that survived relegation.

well done to ranieri, vardy, mahrez, kante, drinkwater, albrighton and all the other boys. if arsenal couldn't win it, i'm glad it was you.

Ditto. Cheers to LC on a magical, unbelievable, unreal season!

Two of the three teams that will be promoted from the Football League Championship to the Premier League have been decided. Burnley and Middlesborough are through to the Premiership. Brighton & Hove Albion, Hull City, Derby County, and Sheffield Wednesday will play in the Championship play-offs semifinals set to take place next weekend and the play-off final set for Memorial Day weekend at Wembley.

Do you know if these will be televised here?

I'm always rooting for new clubs to get promoted. It helps me learn more about the history and tradition of English soccer since I've only been following for 7-8 years. So I'd be happy with anyone expect Hull.

It will be really weird not seeing Aston Villa in the EPL. They were pretty good when I first started following. We'll see how long it takes them to come back up. I was really into Fulham because of Clint Dempsey, and looking at the table I can't believe they are near the bottom of the Championship. Between the Jags and Fulham, maybe Shahid Khan should stay away from sports.

beIN Sports has the TV rights to the Football League Championship in the US, so all 5 matches (first round is played over 2 legs played at each team's home stadium Fri / Sat & Mon / Tue) will be shown on that channel.

Huge game for United on Tuesday. If City don't make the top 4 then I don't think Pep comes. Which makes me wonder if there is a chance for Wenger to "step down" so
Arsenal can steal Pep.

after watching man united flounder after SAF, i'm a little nervous for arsenal after wenger. i'd be happy if jose is available but we pointedly don't hire him.

Will the Gunners stick with Wegner? Think it depends on who they can get to replace him. Don't see any slam dunk candidates.

One thing's for sure, Liverpool made an excellent manager switch.

heartbreaker for manchester united at the last match at boleyn ground. they still have a chance if city lose at swansea.

i thought maybe liverpool could nick that 4th place spot by winning the europa league but since UCL finalists have both already qualified through their domestic league, the europa winner will go directly into the UCL group stage. top four places in EPL remain unchanged.

sunderland's impressive win relegates both norwich city and newcastle.

rafa: from real madrid to relegated newcastle.

Kidding aside, I bet Newcastle is promoted next year.

Their problem is going to be finances. They bought multiple players who did not have a relegation clause in their contract. They can't afford to pay Premier League wages to players in the Championship, and will be forced to sell.

barca is supposedly looking at perez. then there's wijnaldum and townsend that could both move on.

Too bad none of it really matters except for City and United. Nonetheless, I will be watching. Probably Chelsea Leicester at first. Eden Hazard is back to his brilliance and this will be the last time we get to witness the biggest miracle team ever. I'll switch over to one of the Manchester games and put the other on my ipad if things get tight. But I expect City to win pretty comfortably.

If you would have shown me this in High School I would have soiled myself with happiness. The access we have to the EPL now is incredible.
