- Cary-Grove, the better Trojan team
There comes a point where we have to stop blaming the concussion and recognize that Curbelo is just an a-hole who also happened to suffer a bad concussion.

No chance he would be the starting 4 at Illinois. But then you are comparing him to booth who is getting 1 minute a game.Early views tell me Hansberry would be starting at the 4 and definitely much better than Booth. Of course that is ignoring the back problem he had last year.
Aaron HernandezJohnny Manziel comes to mind.
Slight edit. I don’t care how he fits on our current roster, I wish Hansberry had stayed. That dude is an absolute dog
We've got a really good thing going in our "pace and space with shooters 1-5" era, but I do miss our "jacks of all trades everyone's position is Basketball Player" era.I loved Amani's game. I get him following his coach, but I was really looking forward to watching him here. Think his toughness is something you can never have enough of.
I also loved Amani as an ILLINI with a bright future and as a disciple of of Coach Frazier's physical playing style. But that toughness comes at a cost and I have a very good friend who played Division1 college basketball who is a heavily involved Mountaineers' basketball booster and he indicated that Amani is already having significant back issues after the heavy minutes that he played in the 3 OT games in 3 days this weekend on a West Virginia team with a short bench. Something that I'm sure Brad considered when filling out his roster after Amani's back problems last year.I loved Amani's game. Can you only imagine what Trollman thought to himself when he saw us play Arkansas? He sees a rim protector hitting 3’s, in your face pit bull point guard defending like a rabid dog, 10 roster deep athletic and talented shooters, etc etc and etc.CoHawk vs Arkansas Pine Bluff
26 minutes
2 points
4 rebounds
4 assists
1/5 fg
0/3 three point shooting
0/2 from the FT line
1 PTSD flashback to the Penn State game

2 Jan Bradyesque whines about fouls
1.67 percentage of team’s points
Kansas State won 120-73
1 Illinois letterman jacket nostalgically wearing.
Never in doubt.I'm glad at least one person got the reference. I was worried about that.![]()
True he is only shooting 28% from three but he is good defensively and averaging 12,6 rebounds and 7.6 rebounds so he is not an offensive liability and he would be getting better shots with this team. Either way would be a great choice as a backup to Ben and a different piece. As I agree that he seems to be playing well, I don’t think he starts at the 4 for us. We seem pretty committed to the 3 ball. I think him and Sincere made the right moves for themselves in this situation.
There are 2 million($) reasons he didn’t have any regrets……Can you only imagine what Trollman thought to himself when he saw us play Arkansas? He's young enough to still not know the factual reality that money is indeed not everything. There are 2 million($) reasons he didn’t have any regrets……
The old joke goes, "yeah but it's WAY ahead of whatever is in second place."He's young enough to still not know the factual reality that money is indeed not everything.
Antonio BrownI am trying to recall a similar situation in sports when an individual with similar demonstrable talents has sh*t in his own bed

Agree somewhat, but when you have a team full of "jack of all trades" type players....teams can exploit that they're "masters of none".We've got a really good thing going in our "pace and space with shooters 1-5" era, but I do miss our "jacks of all trades everyone's position is Basketball Player" era.
I was at the State Farm Center pregame really early with one of my daughters before the Michigan State (I think) game. Andre came over and chatted up my daughter. I asked him how he was doing. He responded only with, "Birds aren't real." I still don't know if he was serious or not, but I have liked him and wished him the best ever since that day.![]()
REPORT: Former Illini star Andre Curbelo suspended by Southern Mississippi
It’s been a rough go ever since leaving Champaign.www.thechampaignroom.com
Correcting myself, that's a lot of missed games 21-24. That's another point for Miller.![]()

No offense. But this is one of the worst takes I have read on here in a while.Goode could've been in the same role as Humrichous potentially. Maybe he wouldn't be starting but Humrichous arguably shouldn't be starting either
No maybe about it. Glad KJ came around for us.Jeremiah Fears has been lighting it up for Oklahoma avg. 17 ppg, 3.4 rbs. 4.6 asst 2.6 stl even with a ton of turnovers (4.1) - he wouldn't have fit on this current roster construction we have - so no regrets, but my goodness he's been good. Maybe he was ready?
