Adam Miller went to LSU to get more chance at being a 1. He is even more of a catch and shoot guy down there.
He was 5-13 from three tonight which actually improved his percentage. He had been like 6-39 in December.
At Illinois he shot about the same (31%) for the year after his first game where he went 6-8 from three vs NC School for the Blind.

He actually has a decent looking stroke. He looks like he would be much better than 31% shooter from three. He has the green light down there. LOL.

Glancing at the Johnnie's forums, Belo and Green not on the same page with Anderson, Storr about to leave, most want a new coach.
Most of the posters are already tired of Belo and his antics. Love his skill, just not enamored with his play at times and his body language.

Don't like constantly bringing up Belo but it just makes me sad what has happened after what he did his freshman year. Dude looked like a borderline All-American candidate end of that season and was probably the best player on the floor at times among Kofi & Ayo.

After being suspended, he snuck into stands at last nights game without telling staff. Then he snuck into coach’s press conference, took some pictures and posted them with laughing emoji. Not a way to get back in good graces. Kid needs some help

why? If it's an attitude problem, which seems like it very well could be the case, then you reap what you sow.

Every good player has an ego and an attitude at this level and above. Just comes with the territory.

Now the question is are you good enough to the point where people will ignore your personality stuff. I'm sure Belo rubbed some people and teammates the wrong way his freshman year but he backed it up with his play.

So Podz still having a great year ... 18.4 p 8.4 rb 3.3 a for 13-3 Santa Clara.
His production is higher than anyone could have expected, but I did expect him to have a big jump this year. I really liked what I saw of him as a freshman, just thought he was getting used to the big jump from low level high school ball to playing in a P5 conference. Kid has always been a shooter and it seemed impossible to me that his shot wouldn't come back once he got adjusted to the level of play. I was really sad to see him go, and man could we have used a player like him this year. Generally, I think Underwood has done a beyond great job with the Illini program, but I do think he missed on this one in underutilizing him a bit last year and then letting him/pushing him to transfer. Hopefully Goode will fill this sharpshooter role when he gets back, but man could we have used a high volume spot up three shooter this year firing at 40% from 3pt land like Podz.

That's just flat out untrue.

It's actually pretty difficult to be a elite player at the D1 level and beyond without having an ego & certain level of attitude. That's what makes the great players great.

There are a select few folks that can do it without the personality baggage but they are the minority.

Yeesh... Yeah, that's a player goes or the coach goes situation. And if you stick with the player you're opting to have the inmates run the asylum from here on out. Not a good look for Belo. He's staring into the abyss of a player getting in their own way and it's intently staring back at him right now. It's a shame as the kid has a ton of talent.

Shocked by his numbers. Never saw that coming. Illinois could clearly use him this year.

His off the court issues here were bigger than his on court ones. DIA and coaches did a good job keeping them out of the public as much as they could

Agree. And but for the bonus Covid year for Trent/DaMonte I think his role is big enough that he sticks around. But if you’re Brad, I think you take Trent/DaMonte and BIG title 100 times out of 100 and do your best to convince your 3 top 100 FROSH wings to stay. He did pretty well to keep 2 out of 3.

I still worry about RJ. Wish we still had all three. Podz was a good dude.

From what I've read from St. John's fans on Twitter they want Anderson gone anyway, regardless of how they feel about Belo. The perception I'm seeing is that he's lost the entire locker room, and that his teams have had discipline issues in the past. Maybe a bad situation for someone with Belo's personality to be in.

Rick Pitino could turn St John's into a powerhouse.
