For all of those ripping the effort I don't really know what you were expecting. They are playing on the road against one of the best teams in the country. They were 13 pt underdogs before Nunn was out. They are clearly not very cohesive with the sudden change in line-up. They seem to be trying but appear to be searching what to do without one of their key contributors. The freshmen in particular appeared to be overwhelmed by the quality of the opponent. As long as they are trying it will be a good learning experience

They might be giving effort, but some of the illini have no clue either who they are guarding or how to rotate on the defensive end. MSU attacks the basket every possession, they are impressive.
