Well I'm writing off this season (for obvious reasons), and doubtful that 2017-18 brings a tournament appearance with losing Hill and probably new HC, but 2018-19 is the year! I'm going to Maui for the tourney and the last time that happened we wound up in the dance!

How? We lose every game and don't make any postseason tournament? Hate to break it to you too, but there's a decent chance that happens regardless.

If you fire Groce, each recruit will request a release and will get it. By the time we get a new coach each recruit will most likely be committed or signed to another team. This is called program suicide. We would be scrambling to fill our roster next year with 5th year transfers and walk-ons. Your starting center could potentially be Finke. He will be fired after we lose in the B1G tournament.

If not for that one year where they made the tourney though, how would remember Egwu, BP3, and the others? We remember the guys who won. These guys have never had that opportunity. All of their weaknesses become more pronounced when we have lesser results than we typically get.

It's about the combo of skill AND effort/heart/whatever you call it. Egwu and BP3 (at least senior BP3) played their tails off. I think someday we will miss Finke and Black. Those guys leave it all out there. They just need to get better (which I guess brings us back to coaching)
