He's not meant to be playing and he's working hard to bail us out of foul trouble. I don't think any of us should have anything negative to say about him. We have to applaud this because we've put ourselves in a big mess with the foul trouble. He is putting in enormous minutes
Also, this isn't the last time we're going to be in this situation this season with multiple bigs in foul trouble. Treading water with Lieb getting some meaningful experience in a conference game isn't the worst thing in the world.

All end-of-the-bench players watching Lieb called upon today will practice just a little harder this week…

I think we need RJ to play a more important role than staying at the corner and wait to shot. He has shown his athleticism and talent last year but didn't really meet the expectations this year. I think he was listed as the next breakout star (as Murray and Davis did last year) by some commentators.

Lieb doing just fine. That said, would have been nice to put Goode in there due to the foul issues.

He also has 4 points, 2 reb and a block. Pretty good!

outstanding ball movement. We are so lucky to be ahead at halftime with the major foul issues. Major props to Lieb and Rodgers off the bench and to Mayer and Epps on the floor. These were 8 major adversity minutes and we held on. That's good. Now go out and win this half and win the game and hope Courtney Green doesn't start calling phantom fouls.

MM did what he had to do to keep us alive with CH, TS & DD in foul trouble. Hats off to Lieb for doing what he could being thrown into the fire like that. Couldn’t ask for much more than being up 3.

Get DD the ball deep in the post, get Mayer looks off of rub and flair screens, let TJ and Epps get down hill when it’s there, keep playing tough half court D and we can take this peacefully in the second.

Lieb helped us weather the storm and avoid either Dain or Hawk coming in and getting their third foul. It wasn't pretty, but it was decent. It also helped that we had Ty guard Garcia down the stretch. Credit to Ty. Not a lot of freshmen have the strength and speed to guard someone as versatile as Garcia.

Meanwhile, Mayer is 100% that dude at this point. Blocking shots and picking pockets on the defensive end. Driving to the basket and raining threes on the offensive end. The straw that stirs the drink. When all else fails, he can keep us afloat.

Heck no…with us bring in foul trouble and not bringing our best stuff out of the gate…It could be a whole lot worse. He did a competent to decent job while he was in there…good for him.

Hopefully Goode and Perrin can also play in a few weeks or less, then we are ultra-deep like we thought we'd be at the beginning of the season
