Are you kIUdding? Other that FTs he has been outstanding. His best gave of the year thus far. Only 1 To, 2 steals, drawn fouls n 12 ponts. If He hits the FTs he has 16 and is unreal tonight. Just keep getting better.If he doesnt turn uit over he should titally be on the floor. He n Ayo maje others better!

It blows my mind that we can’t show up for games like this. Two years in a row we are clearly the better team but they come out balls to the walls and show us up. We have more grievances. Mark smith is a punk who ran when the going got tough. Why don’t we want to teach him a lesson?
Sitting Curbalo is the last thing I want to see...Miznoz doesnt shoot it well from three...we need quit closing out so hard so we can stay in front of the drives and not foul.

LOL Curbelo is the only player with a nba level floor game on this team and they have yet to figure out how to stop the pick and roll with him the problem is because everyone else on the floor is limited offensively they cant open up the floor for Ayos drive game which needs more spacing
You have 4 points and 1 reb from seniors Trent and Damonte but the freshmen that basically kept us in the game should sit more so they can do what exactly ?

We’ve seen plenty of other great teams get down in the first half, thinking “this could be a big upset” only to see them turn it completely around in the second...it’s time for us to prove we’re one of those teams that people say “yeah, but most likely they’re gonna come back.”
Plus we are a much better team when Curbelo is in the game. We are just flat when he is on the bench.

Curbelo has 12 points and 1 TO. He's playing tough and fast and is the only Illini consistently making Mizzou look stupid.

Honestly, Mizzous defense has been terrible too (thier best move on defense is fouling us). If we could just manage to play some effective defense and crash the boards better, we'd have this. Of course the way this game is getting called that's going to get more difficult as more guys get into foul trouble.
Curbelo's stat line looks better with 1 turnover and 1 asst....but then you see he missed 4 of 6 from freebie line with, IMHO, adds at least two turnovers to his stat (don't remember if any were front of bonus). But 12 pts. with 1 official TO is improvement and he has added some spark....climbing the learning curve. Kofi had done nothing and is the goat in this one. Make amends big guy!!! Ayo having a really solid game and leading the team of lead weights other than DFW. Need all players on the floor to be aware of the Mizzou strategy of running to the rim on every possession.

Seems to me the game plan was to attack the hoop and get fouls. It worked, just didn't convert.
I didn't really see many plays or any for Miller off a screen.
Kofi is the problem to me. His touch around the rim is not great, I'm not going to dog on any kid, but its tough to watch.
Gotta hit at least 75% from the line in the 2nd half or its tough to come back. We are getting one point, they are getting two.

True. And if you recall in Underwood's pregame presser, he was worried about exactly that point.
