Coordinators are so important. I remember when tepper was supposed to get the guy that brought Chris Redman. And then he didn’t.

I remember awful co-coordinators with Turner

Zook lost licksley and it was a hit.

And zook hired the Paul Petrino who was supposed to be great but was bad

Zook hired the guy that didn’t know how to use Juice Williams and had a system that was terrible for him. (Kinda feels like what the bears are doing with Dields now)

I’ve had major concerns about Kinney since his very first game.

Really wanted Henry to be awesome but it felt weird when Kane didn’t get it. What is Leonhard’s role here?

Getting owned by walters is an awful look.

With the quality the teams they are adding to the conference, it may be decades before current "celler dwellers" ever compete for a conference championship.

maybe Bert will get another extension if we cover my arbitrary +16.5 spread

Yes come to the dark side
You’re not giving me the help I need, lol.

Basking in misery does nothing for me. Pride in the Illini will be eternal and constant; so if changes need to be made or if there’s some great excuse, fine. But I’ll never lose faith in the potential that is Illini athletics. I’ll also never burry my head in the sand, and this is bad.

Today we were a bad football team. We just got our tails whipped by a bad Purdue team that is 1-3. We missed 2 easy TDs with the opeing drive miss with a guy wide open, and the Pat Bryant dropped TD. You have to convert when you have opportunities, and we were 0-2 on easy opportunities.

We may be lucky to get to 4-8, but we will see if they have any fight in them. We have a serious coaching problem, and a serious offensive line problem.

Seems optimistic to me. And pretty bold, considering they beat us last year.

It's only September. This is a long, slow train wreck.
Was not.meant.to be optimistic. I took the previous post.to mean IU was worse than us.

John Mackovic, who turns 80 tomorrow, was our last consistently good coach. He's still the coach of Italy's national football team. I say this only half tongue in cheek but give him a call.
