Because while I think each player IS mentally engaged and giving proper effort, it just seems like our “in sync” level as a team is TOTALLY absent. There seems to be such little “feel” for where your teammates are and what they’ll do next like you see on teams that work well together.
We aren’t going to out-talent Arkansas, that should be beyond obvious. We have to outscheme them as a team on BOTH sides of the ball!!

Lmao. That ending sequence. We have no chemistry right now. Throwing passes to people who aren't looking. Dribbling out the shot clock and putting teammates in bad positions. Wow.

Atrocious play out of the time out. Why were we wasting so much time? There were 11-12 seconds difference between the clocks and Arkansas has a timeout in case of a score. So worst case if we made a shot at the buzzer they would have 11 seconds to get a shot. Running it down made absolutely zero sense, just get a quality shot!!
Arkansas was up 13 at half last game and lost but this is a season ending game so idk

We'll, that was about as bad as we could've played. So hopefully we can get it going this second half. Down ten simply because of our own doing. We are consistent with beating ourselves. Especially in the first halves of games. I really hope Underwood reads them the game stats from the first half during the halftime break.

So, for how we've played, and all that we have not done today, we are blessed with the gift of only being down 10 against a team that is not very good. That is incredibly surmountable. Go out there, get the ball inside, force them to foul you, and play with energy and effort. This is a very winnable game. If our players want it they can get it.
The real positive is that after playing the worst half of basketball of the season, the Fighting Illini hoopsters only trail by 10 at the half. Play like that against a 1 seed and they would be down by 25. This game can be won, but a completely different team needs to play the second half...one full of B1G warriors.
