Happy to see the good veterinarian is back in his same season ticket seats this year

Wow, I didn’t realize I was so lucky to have so many college basketball coaches in the thread tonight. I cannot believe they are all here and not on the bench coaching the Illini.
What are we doing here if not speculating on what we see on the floor?

I guess we should simply say "Yay" all the time? What sort of content would that provide?

I'm encouraged so far, we haven't even come close to gelling as a team so far and Marquette did that last year with essentially the same team we are playing
Marquette looks like a team returning 8 of 9 top players from last year. We are still learning how gel as a team. Would not be the least bit surprised to see them in Final Four.

Meh. By that "maximize our scoring" logic, shouldn't a team always shoot nothing but 2s, or nothing but 3s?
No, that would be dumb, since the defense would only defend that type of shot. Best is a roughly equal scoring per shot, so they don't know how to stop you.

Glad they finally called a foul on Marquette on that possession. Thought there was a push on the first tap out.

Best 3 possession stretch of the season for Hawkins. O-board tip in, good PnR defense with communication, patience in transition with a pass (no antics) to a cutting Domask!

LETS GO! WE ARE IN THIS

That is hyperbole. There are folks talking about what they see on the floor and there are those who do nothing but challenge coaching. Big difference…
