Pretty highly contested, hard and well played game so far. Illini must be prepared to go hard for 40 minutes. Every possession is important.

I’m concerned about Giorgi as a person. Seems like it is more than basketball right now. I hope my gut is wrong.

Monte is facing the court, the ball goes out of bounds 3 rows behind the bucket. How is that Maryland ball? Not physically possible that he knocked it out of bounds. Man big ten refs.

I can't even imagine. Basketball and playing well surely helps hold him together. I truly hope the guys can keep things going for him.

A couple of buckets ago, he dribbled out of the double team then when the extra defender retreated, he went back to backing down his guy. That recognition seems new!

Maryland playing tough and contesting nearly every shot. Seems they should be better than .500 team.

Does Miller have a teardrop? He always drives all the way to the hoop, but then struggles to finish over/through defenders.

These announcers are irritating. Listening to Hummel is particularly galling.
