For a ‘defensive-minded’ team, we’ve given up more career nights to opponents this year than in the last few combined. We’re lacking that Trent/DMFW complete lock-down defender.

This is a below average 3 point shooting team, but they continue to chuck it up possession after possession. It's been this way all season, so I blame BU at this point.
Problem is Illini can’t handle perimeter pressure, so no flow to the offense and they’re left with off-balanced 3s.

I think this team is getting EXPOSED tonight. I don’t think we are gonna hear any more March hype or “high ceiiing” talk after this game.

We are what we are. And that seems to be a good team when we are on and terrible when we are cold. Not great. Not excellent. Just sometimes good.

We have played horrible at home, this year. That says a lot about the mind set of this team. It’s all the new blood in the program. Winning at home just doesn’t matter as much as it did to previous teams like ayo led squad or Trent and Kofi led squads
Getting role players from the portal works. Getting lead dogs from the portal does not appear to.

Hats off to NW. They clearly came to play and have outhustlelld (oh, why not?), outshot, and, in general, outshined us at almost every turn.

Edit: I've ever heard a rumor that their posters don't have to edit their posts!
Definitely a rumor, as I doubt anyone posts for NW. Either way, this is a dumpster fire of a game at home.

Unacceptable effort against a well coached team that is maximizing their talent outputs. At some point the players have to actually care about the game they are playing...just seems that many are going through the motions.

Definitely in the top 25 in terms of bipolar identity.

Northwestern is torching us but it’s hard to get in a rhythm on offense when the other team is allowed to push you off your spot when screening, hold on every cut, and hack on shots around the rim. I’m sitting 30 feet from the court watching it. They are going to get wrecked by non big ten refs playing like this in the tourney.
If the refs are allowing highly physical play, perhaps we should try putting a defender within six feet of the guy with the ball.

The good news: This would be an epic comeback.
The bad news: Everything we did in the first half. 0 for freakin 11?!

Wow, that's impressive. I wish it were in a good way. This year was one wild experiment, eh, folks?
