Problem is Illini can’t handle perimeter pressure, so no flow to the offense and they’re left with off-balanced 3s.This is a below average 3 point shooting team, but they continue to chuck it up possession after possession. It's been this way all season, so I blame BU at this point.
Getting role players from the portal works. Getting lead dogs from the portal does not appear to.We have played horrible at home, this year. That says a lot about the mind set of this team. It’s all the new blood in the program. Winning at home just doesn’t matter as much as it did to previous teams like ayo led squad or Trent and Kofi led squads
What are you hoping Underwood can do? He can't play for them. Turnovers, missed free throws, missing uncontested threes, not fighting through screens....as a coach, you can put them in a position to succeed, but ultimately the players need to execute. It's really that simple.Outcoached by a mile
Definitely a rumor, as I doubt anyone posts for NW. Either way, this is a dumpster fire of a game at home.Hats off to NW. They clearly came to play and have outhustlelld (oh, why not?), outshot, and, in general, outshined us at almost every turn.
Edit: I've ever heard a rumor that their posters don't have to edit their posts!
If the refs are allowing highly physical play, perhaps we should try putting a defender within six feet of the guy with the ball.Northwestern is torching us but it’s hard to get in a rhythm on offense when the other team is allowed to push you off your spot when screening, hold on every cut, and hack on shots around the rim. I’m sitting 30 feet from the court watching it. They are going to get wrecked by non big ten refs playing like this in the tourney.
The good news: This would be an epic comeback.
The bad news: Everything we did in the first half. 0 for freakin 11?!
Out coached nearly every game we playBU is a good evaluator of Rae T. But I don’t agree with who he at an he gets out coached too often
And yet, who has won more games the last four years in the big ten?Out coached nearly every game we play
