Not only are we boneheaded with our play but opposing coaches have totally figured Underwood out. They know our big men cannot pass a lick, and are going to triple team us inside.
Yeah, Maryland did this a lot too. Kofi never gets a foul called either so teams can just hack away at him with 2 and 3 guys

I’ve at least appreciated that our defensive intensity hasn’t given out even though OSU has made everything it’s looked at. Can tell we missed Trent in pockets of last game. Our bonehead turnovers and sloppy offense on the other hand... the reason this isn’t within 10.

Ladies and gents, we have been figured out. We are too easy to defend and that is unacceptable given the two super stars we have.
Yes but neither Giorgi or Curbelo are outside threats and Kofi can't pass out of double teams. That makes us incredibly easy to guard. The fact that Giorgi has been in the program for 3 years and has no outside shot is a major failure of player dev.

A good team simply should not fall behind by 15 -17 points every game. I have no idea what the answer is, but something is just not right with this team. I am just not sure they are all that good?
tOSU has significant problems with size and a point guard, yet they are schooling us? Why? Coaching, offensive sets, defense or just a combination of that and not being what we all hoped they would be.
This game is far from over, but we should be able to handle OSU at home with out going to the wire?

They need keep feeding Kofi vs dribbling around the perimeter. When they go on these droughts, there is no inside/outside ball movement.

I think BU is relying too much on a comment he made before the season about great teams coaching themselves, leaning on Ayo and the seniors to discipline themselves. While a tend to agree with this...our '05 team is a great example....this year is completely different. Kids are cooped up with almost no outlets for their emotional ups and downs. No family contact. No holidays....everything is different.

BU needs to go Trash Can mode.

I'm going to take a deep breath on this one. I think we underestimated how valuable Feliz and Griffin were. They really haven't been replaced. Coming into the season, we (or I) thought Miller was really going to negate the Griffin loss, but I wasn't sure where that Feliz "x factor" was going to come from. My hope was Curbelo, but it's not there yet. We are relying more on Freshman than I anticipated.

I think this has been more about OSU playing out of their minds than it has been us playing really poorly. I think our guys got a little shaken during that run. Liddell was shooting 16.7% from 3 and he's 3/4, he's made as many in this half as he has the rest of the season. They're 7/10 from 3 right now, if they weren't on fire and had only made 4/10, it would be a 6 point game. The world isn't ending. We need some adjustments to take advantage of our superior guards and center. Their forwards are killing us and OSU is exploiting it.

This deficit will be tough to overcome, but it's not impossible.

This seems all about game prep. Other teams have us figured out.

now we resort to jacking up threes.

Osu - open 3 "let it fly"
Illini - open 3 "hmm is this the right shot or should I turn it down for contested jumper"
