No speed on closing once we break through on defense, only in spurts do you see guys who rotate in flash, looks to me like the D is still incubating, let’s all hope the chicken hatches soon…
For sure hopefully the defense will show some of that fight in the 2nd half

I still think the sky isn't falling. Get a TD to start and some longer drives and this will be comfortable. Will have to tackle a lot better vs Duke.

Wow … What a play there !!!!
We’re going to have to put up 30+ every week in Big Ten play to win … And truthfully, I think we can more often than not … We’ve got real talent on offense …
Defense doesn’t have enough DUDES … We are not able to get off the field … We can’t stop UAB … We are SOFT !!!! No fundamentals !!!! This has NOT been impressive at all … I can’t wait to hear after the season that the system isn’t the problem and we just need better players that fit the system …
Here’s a thought … Maybe FIRE Henry right after the season … Get your DC in place and recruit guys who FIT the system instead of worrying about feelings and ensuring your guy has a soft landing … Just a thought …

We just need to try and adjust on D. We did a half at 3-3-5. We can try a 5-3-3 and 3-5-3 in the second half and see if either of those work better.

Positioning actually better than last year. But man you are 100% correct. Slow to the ball.
I wouldn't say running the ball three times on the drive that started at the 1 showed guts. Throwing the ball out of the end zone would have been aggressive.
Throwing a hail Mary, with the clock expiring, isn't gutsy. If your QB can hit the end zone, do it. If he can't, don't.
Both sides of the ball have issues.
We have quick scores and they control the time of possession.
It's not about this game. It's how this translates to future games.
It's cool to be able to say that after a lot of bad football the last 20 years, but this D is giving me flashbacks..
I think we will get flagged every play if we try any of those defenses.
Are card stunts not at halftime anymore? When did that change?

I'm definitely concerned about how we've held the point of attack. I don't hate the scheme, but it you ran it with McCollum, Tomi, and Coenen in addition to these guys I'd feel good. Obviously we don't have them tho, tackling needs to be better too. If the TOP evens out I don't think we give up a full field TD
