UTRGV should be in serious trouble in about 5 min. as they have too many players playing too many min. and in danger of fouling out by then. Gotta hit free throws but they should put a hatchet man in to hack on Kofi.
I like Goode and I like that the rest of the BIG will hate him in short time

No Curbelo + No Frazier makes this a lot more complicated in practice than theory.
I’m probably in the minority, and several minutes past live on B1G+, but as long as we win - regardless of margin - it’s a “W” and nothing else matters. These are not ideal circumstances, and it’s a long season (hopefully).

If I told you with 8.5 min. to play the Illini would be shooting 60%+ for the game and over 40% from the floor, would you believe they were getting beaten.? Just listening, but UTRGV has got to have some guys who can move pretty fast with the ball....and Illini do not.

This score, against this team, at home…given this years expectations, makes me sad.

You've been reading Illini forums too much. We're not super talented, and we're missing possibly our two most important players. We basically have no competent ball-handling guards right now. Wins will be very tough to come by as long as Belo and Trent are out.
I'm a Cub/Bear/Blackhawk/ fan. This team was my only hope.
Our reserves (Kofi at home) should be able to wipe the floor with a team like this at home.

But...just like last year, if they beat Michigan in Ann Arbor, no one will ever remember who we played on the Fri. after Thanksgiving. But, to your point, it is hard to see this team beating anyone right now. It is sad.
