haha! that play made no sense and Walton is insane talking show the game as going straight to classic .

Why is it so hard with so many guards to simply spread the floor drive and and kick to the shooter who lets it fly with confidence ?

Another decent 1st half. Underwood defensive scheme allowing Xavier to shoot 68% tho. He needs to make adjustments

To compound the horrible defensive scheme, we are constantly gambling for steals and coming up empty, which opens up even easier driving lanes.

I don’t know how many more games I can watch if the defense does not improve. I can feel my blood pressure rise with every layup we give up.

We have more ft makes than they’ve attempted. The lobs haven’t worked but it’s a wrinkle they’re at least trying. Offense looks much more differentiated than previous games. More drives to the hole. I can’t complain about that too much. Giorgi only one remotely in foul trouble. X hitting lots of good midrange stuff but not as many uncontested shots. Not pretty but in my mind looks like progress.

The defense is predicated on forcing turnovers and creating quick scoring opportunities. They lead the country in turnovers forced. So in that regard, the defense is doing exactly what it's supposed to. Unfortunately, this style of D leaves our big men exposed and makes them prone to rack up fouls.
