Welcome!

Good pickup this late in the recruiting season. Welcome Mr. Ebigmanabouttown!

Definitely some good upside here. I'm assuming where he lacks the most right now is positional awareness and basketball IQ, just simply because he hasn't been playing basketball long. For this reason I wouldn't be surprised to see him miss out on the rotation this year and only play when Black and Finke are both in foul trouble.

I definitely could see this prediction being completely wrong though. I don't think anyone knows (even the coaching staff) how fast this kid will progress because basketball is so new to him. There is a chance he gets on campus and turns into an all-B1G freshmen player by December.

Also something to remember is Chin recruited him to UIC. Most of you already know that, but also remember that Chin had contacted BU multiple times because he loved BU's style of play. There is a very good chance that Chin was building something at UIC very similar to how BU wants to play here.

The most important thing to remember is that he has only played organized basketball for 3 years, so he is just scratching the surface right now.

Great pick up, agree looks much better than ranking. Still prefer to add a veteran big (Evan Maxwell??) to the mix. Like where we are going with the young bigs (Conditt, Liddell, Ebo)

And there are naturals.

Don't forget, too, that soccer is a "positional" game like b-ball. There's all the passing, etc, in both sports. It's not like he's going from, say, skiing to basketball. And as a soccer player, one would expect him to have great conditioning, if he's been coached at all.

I do like his attitude, wanting to play BU's uptempo game.

with Trent, Smith and DaWill all being gym rats, and this young mans want to get better I think we will be very happy, How many times have we had a recruit talk about looking up the style of play nightly to watch and learn as much as he can ? ? ?

Reminds me of Nnanna. He only started playing in high school, and although he was never an offensive powerhouse, he was a very important player for us.

Can't wait to see what the new staff can do with Greg.

Does anyone know how to pronounce his last name and can provide a key or a "sounds like"?
