Mike Daum would like a word.Hot take: despite what appears to be a more talented roster than last year, Feliz will be the team’s leading scorer.
I see BP3 and Daum, and probably Rayvonte scoring more than Feliz, but he may still be the MVP.Mike Daum would like a word.
But I'm betting Feliz leads the team in rebounds.
I was lukewarm on Kipper. Good Kipper is great. He just didn't come to the games consistently. Are the guys who complained about Kipper happy with Jaylon Tate?
The one thing he does do well is create shots for others. We have a lot of guys that can be a bit ball dominant at times at the guard spots with Feliz, BP3, Thompson, & McCamey. Tate can keep it moving and create for others and should be able to stay with quicker guards on the defensive end, especially compared to someone like McCamey.I was lukewarm on Kipper. Jaylon is the first one that I think is a clear mistake. There were already enough solid guards. Jaylon does not appear to bring anything new to the table. While the team may not need another scorer, they can't afford an offensive liability who lets the other team pack the lane.
I bought tickets to the weekend sessions and only get to see the Illinois team once?Game time is set as well:
With a win, we could potentially play Always a Brave (Bradley alumni team) in the 2nd round on their home floor. That game would be on July 26th at 8:00 PM on ESPN3.
I bought tickets to the weekend sessions and only get to see the Illinois team once?
and why do they play the 1pm Saturday game?
Oh no! He was the heart and soul of last year's team. Hope they can figure it out.I was listening to Steve Kelly and Loren Tate’s podcast. It sounds like they are having visa issues getting Feliz back into the country. Possibility he may not be able to play.
This is old news and you've probably already seen it but just in case, Hill is getting a shot with the Pelicans in the NBA Summer League. I'm sure I'm stating the obvious, but that kind of opportunity takes precedence over TBT.Perhaps this has been discussed already, but why isn't Malcolm Hill playing this year? Guessing prior commitment, but who knows?
I think they're maximizing the overall exposure. It's not the NCAA tourney, of course --- and they don't want games competing with one another. I glanced at the tournament format and it looks like an excellent set up.Can anyone tell me why we haven't played a game yet but other regions are into round 3 already? Dont make any sense.
Further -- it sounded like Mike L. wanted to leave the roster spot open for him, even if he missed the first one or two games.I was listening to Steve Kelly and Loren Tate’s podcast.
