Same with me- an 18% bump is bigger than I expected. And no information about improving seat location...

I am hoping that the ticket office provides season ticket holders the opportunity to move their seats just like they did for the football season ticket holders.

So, I guess Big Mike can dunk.

Fletch's regimen paying off, big time.

Yikes!

By the angle of it, Big Mike could take a bite of a sandwich sitting on the rim.

That Big Mike pic legit? Looks like me trying to pass off a pic while I'm dunking on an 8 foot hoop.

Per Fletcher's Twitter, Tracy down to 5% body fat and has added 4 inches to his vertical since April.

Hilarious that people have said Big Mike is a poor (or even average) athlete. He's not just big and strong. His explosive short area quickness is the first thing that jumped out at me last year.

Edit: Also, does any other team in the B1G have a better secret weapon than Thorne, Jr.?!? I know that his diabetes and injury history may limit him to 20 minutes/game or so, but 6'11, 270 pound dudes with 6-pack abs who can get chin level to a rim pretty much don't exist outside the NBA/blue blood universe. #planettheory

Barring injuries and off court issues I feel we have the personnel to be very competitive. Regarding Kipper I thought as high school players he had more of a motor and skill than DJW. DJW is the longer and taller athlete. Sounds like Kipper is being viewed more as a SG/WF than PF which I agreed with back several months. I think he is the natural replacement for Hill, don't know how that translates to minutes this year.

Are weight belts no longer a thing? Been a long time since I spent any time doing squats, but I'm surprised Malcolm isn't wearing one.

Weight belts have their place, but I generally don't use them unless I'm moving more than 90% of my max on a core-intensive lift like squat or deadlift. Otherwise, you want the abs and spinal erectors to be as engaged as possible. If you use a belt for lower weight, you can inadvertently train your core to not fire at full capacity. Just one meathead's perspective.

Wait, I thought Kipper was our secret weapon.

I wouldn't have expected this kind of vertical from a fully healthy Thorne, let alone coming off of a knee injury. Not only does it say a lot about his recovery process and physical therapy, but also his diet. Terrific commitment by everyone in a program that has seen more than their share of rough times over the last few years.

Jump squats with 250lbs scare me. I'm thinking of the strain that places upon landing to knees, ankles, Achilles, etc. I hope that's only an occasional thing Fletch has them doing, though I trust that he knows his stuff. Or maybe I'm just gun shy because I've strained more ligaments and gained more shin splints from doing box jumps than anything else...
