This Title IX stuff is that these players are accused of having violated SLU's policy (University policy, nothing to do with the law) against sexual assault and harassment. They will be subject to an investigation, which under current DoE recommendations will likely be made by a lawyer, and in which a "preponderance of the evidence" standard may be used, meaning that the alleged events need only be more likely than not.
The DoE just last week i believe changed their guidance so that schools are able to use a "clear and convincing" standard to judge these cases by, but i doubt many schools have acted to make that change in such a short timespan.
