Yeah that is the one we use to teach our players. Props to coach Underwood to getting it to us for free back when he was at SFA. Includes the offense plus good breakdown drills. Actually just watched it with the new guys in our program yesterday. He is a really, really great explainer and teacher.

Do you watch it with new players or new coaches? Just curious because I coach (assistant) small school ball in IL, but we've never shown players these types of videos of the offenses that we've run during my time here. We've had 3 different head coaches, so 3 different offenses, and installing a new one this year and I'm wondering if these types of videos would be beneficial to the players.

Maybe he thought he could win the job and when he didn't, decided to move on.
Fran is now gonna need 35+min/game out of Jordan Bohannon (who was outscored by Te'jon in both matchups last year). Their frontcourt is skilled and lengthy, but they also have little-to-no quality guard depth after Bohannan and Isaiah Moss. I hope we can suffocate their backcourt in our single meeting this year.

The plan was for Fran's son Connor to redshirt this year. I wonder if they will need him on the roster as depth now. Part of him redshirting was him playing baseball as well.

Yeah, would be unfortunate for Connor if that's the case. I heard he really wants to play baseball for a year and then switch to basketball after that. If his bball redshirt is taken off then I'm assuming his baseball plan would not be feasible.

He is a really good baseball player. I've heard from a few people out here that they wouldn't be surprised if he had a good freshman baseball season, that basketball was moved to the back burner and possibly out of the picture. 6'6 lefties...

One would hope between our depth at the "positionless" guard spots and desire to play uptempo we can at least have them hunched over and grasping for air by halftime.

Not an Iowa fan by any stretch of the imagination, but sorry to see that it didn't work out for the kid, though he is apparently finishing out the semester. 6'5" 200 lb. point guard should be able to find a bigger playing role at a non-power 5 school.

#2 Ranked Michigan St. 28 v. Div II Ferris State 27 with 3:19 left in the first half ...

Guard fro MSU are struggling shooting from the perimeters...exhibition but they 3-17 from the field..

Again, I know its early preseason but I have a ton of faith we will be okay this season MSU has a ton of length but their guard play is suspect I think we have better guards

Ferris st 38 v. MSU 35 at the half!

I was just about to ask the same thing.
Btw fwiw Wisky beat mizzou by 8 in a closed scrimmage today

I'm slow is that Wisconsin ?

Div 2 Ferris State gave #2 ranked Michigan St all they could handle last night and I'm telling u there was never any time during the game that MSU was like this is going to be a blow out....didn't happen so I think we will be good!

I know it's scrim season, but that's fascinating news to me. I think this is the year we find out whether or not Gard has the potential to sustain what Bo built.

Would read very little in any of these early games played by any of these teams. What happens in Oct 2017 is not an indication what will happen during the regular season or in Mar 2018 come tournament time, i.e., everything is fluid, so suggest taking it with a grain of salt.

I was thinking of our guard depth...we may become "point guard U". TJL, TF, DW, MS, and next year Ayo. They all have capability at the 1...realizing that most will rotate 1 to 3 positions.

No clear 5 backup...hopefully spicey G gets good quickly. It will be interesting to watch front court rotations. MF will probably get a heavy workout each game with 80+ team possessions.

Consensus opinion from the national experts says we finish 12th in Big 10 this year. I'm going to play optimist and predict 10th. A successful pre-conference season will put us back in the NIT tourney. My biggest fear about this year's team dates back to BU's 0-6 start in the Big12 last year. Hoping he doesn't have a repeat performance of that start in 2017-18!

1. MSU
2. MD
3. PUR
4. MICH
5. WIS
6. IOWA
7. NW
8. MIN

Kendrick Nunn goes for 40, 10 rebounds, and eight assists as Oakland beats Central Michigan in a team scrimmage. Horizon League POY?

Wasn't really sure where to put this, but I hope Nunn kills it this year. Was a good kid, by all accounts, who got in a bad situation and messed up. Don't know anything about Oakland, but it would be awesome to see Nunn drop 40 and upset someone in the NCAA tournament.

sounds a little like he wasn't used right here, almost a triple double I to wish him the best shame he messed up here

Greg Kampe, Nunn's coach @ Oakland is very good.He developed Felder into an NBA player.
