I know nothing about the man, other than what was in the write up. I do like the promotion from within.![]()

Can't be upset about people leaving, but not promote those who've earned it. Solid resume and he's from Illinois. Coaches would know better than anyone about how he performed in his role last season.![]()

Wow, that was close - glad he just snuck in at 100...http://makingthemadness.com/top-100-players-in-college-basketball-for-the-2021-22-season/
I know these lists mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. That being said, ranking Curbelo at 100 is looney tunes.
I agree that Belo should be higher than 100, but teams have a full season of tape on him now and will prep their defenses accordingly. I just hope Belo learns as much from that tape as our opponents will. Be smarter about the baseline drives, keep the ball on a string, and don't be afraid to take an open 18 footer. He's special, but he's still got a ways to go to live up to some folks' expectations.http://makingthemadness.com/top-100-players-in-college-basketball-for-the-2021-22-season/

I agree that there is plenty to be improved on. 3PT shooting and turnovers top the list for me.I agree that Belo should be higher than 100, but teams have a full season of tape on him now and will prep their defenses accordingly. Agree on TyTy. Would have taken him. But I don’t see the one n done lottery pick hype. How about Jalen Brunson as a comparison? Seem similar athletically and skill wise. And Brunson stayed in college for 3 years and was a second round pick. Maybe I haven’t seen the right highlights, but I don’t see the eye popping length or athleticism that seems to dominate the lottery these days.I agree that there is plenty to be improved on. 3PT shooting and turnovers top the list for me.
Having TyTy ranked in the 30's is a little suspect with that argument though. IMO
I'd be willing to bet all of our starters would likely be the best player on the court if dropped into any random D3 game.I agree with you about practice reports. I'm basing my expectations on games that I have seen for these two players and their athletic ability or eye test I've seen. I realize it was D3 but he was the best player on the court, clearly has skill and pits the ball in the basket. I know uts not B10 but it isn't high school either and there is reason to be excited when I see him play, his offers, the fact he worksout with NBA players like Vonleh and trust BU's evalution of him. I'm not basing it on practice reports.

Agreed. It's a slow day at work. Production levels are dangerously low. That article was trash
14 from BIG on list with 3 ea from Mich and Illinois. Surprised by no of frosh on list.http://makingthemadness.com/top-100-players-in-college-basketball-for-the-2021-22-season/

Happy to see Frazier at 59th, 3 in the top 100 not to bad.Wow, that was close - glad he just snuck in at 100...
That sucks. You mean defenders will all keep their legs closed this year?I agree that Belo should be higher than 100, but teams have a full season of tape on him now and will prep their defenses accordingly. It concerns me that BU didn't label his video skills as "elite", so not sure what to think about the hireI know nothing about the man, other than what was in the write up. I do like the promotion from within.
I'm really high on what Hutch can bring to the team (and agree with you re: what he did in D3 shouldn't be discounted too much) but I do worry about two things in particular: 1) how will his game translate given the physicality of Big 10 play, and 2) from the practice videos we've seen his shot looks nice but also slow. Will he be able to create his own shot and get it off over the type of wing defenders he'll see, or will he be better served off kick outs, hand offs, etc? If he can be relied upon to do the former then this team can be scary good. Only thing we're is missing is a guy with size that can create a shot out of nothing when the play breaks down and there's 5 seconds left on the clock (i.e., Ayo).I agree with you about practice reports. I'm basing my expectations on games that I have seen for these two players and their athletic ability or eye test I've seen. Most of the rankings were trash but this is a big hell no.Trayce Jackson-Davis, Clownpants #7
Leave it here. Don't resurrect the Adam Miller thread please!Didnt know where to put this, but how much money do you think Adam Miller missed out on with NIL in transferring from here to LSU?
